One confusing thing to understand is whether an article should be in an idiom. E.g., you may say "all hands on deck" but not "all hands on the deck". "Batten down the hatches", not "batten down hantches". "Play by ear", not "play by the ear". ""Out of the woods", not "out of woods". Touch base", not "touch the base". Is there any rule which dictates "the" or "no the" ? Thank you for all of your videos.

That's a great question! Unfortunately, there isn't a hard and fast rule about articles in idioms. It's often just about memorizing the correct phrasing. Sometimes, using "the" can slightly change the meaning. For example, "touch base" is a casual check-in, but "touch the base" might make people imagine a baseball game!
