Primoz Roglic. I know he’s not everyone’s favorite, but he’s my favorite. I think he still has a lot of chance. I love his grit. He always gets back up, never settles. He’s not at all a big ego, nor a big talker. Always chill, let his records do the talking. Rooting for an outlier this year I guess!

If Vingegaard hadn’t crashed and broken his collar bone, several ribs and punctured his lung, then he would be the overwhelmimg favourite, but as is Poga must be the huge favourite.

There is a huge question mark behind Jonas! For one thing, his form is very questionable. On the other hand, we don't know how he coped psychologically with the heavy fall. How will he behave if he comes under pressure on a descent? I don't think he'll be right at the front. Tadej is the clear number one. He is brimming with self-confidence, has the best team at his side and seems to be in the form of his life. Second place should be the absolute maximum for Primoz or Remco.

After the Giro it´s almost naive don´t see Tadej as the great favorite, also because we know nothing about the health status of Jonas V. But, to be honest, I will be rooting for an underdog come out of nowhere and wreak havoc in the Tour. All I want is entertainment guys!!

you forgot to mention another weakness of Primoz - staying upright on his bike.

How is he like Froome? Jumbo is nowhere near the Sky train dominance. He's not a Watt leerer (he's specifically said he doesn't have watts available when he's climbing. He's much more agressive, and attacks far out (apart from Froomes Giro raid i don't remember him ever attacking far out).

could be interesting. i think jonas will peak late in the tour because of his crash and the less training. Pog on the other hand will peak early because his form is going to go down i think. he as to get the most out of the first 2 weeks and then try to hold it through the last.

Pogy as we speak wins. He also has a strongest support team. It's only them to loose. The rest will chase and scramble for the lesser minor positions. Remco will be a distant in this one. We haven't seen him doing a 3 week tour comfortable. Rog, please stay on your Specilized bike. Ving with the kind of injuries background, this may be a long shot. Pogy doubles the tour wins this year.

UAE has such a strong team that it's hard to see anyone but Pogacar winning. That said, I think it's going to be awesome. The route is pretty cool and I think we might be in for a surprise this year. 🔥

If Vingegaard even podiums that will be amazing. Only a crash or illness can stop Pogačar. Visma should have let Vingegaard recover properly and go for La Vuelta.

It wouldn't be a surprise if Jonas wins, but in no universe is he the #1 favorite going in this year after the crash. If he can limit his losses in the first week he'll be looking more favorable for yellow. Pog is by far the favorite to win. Primoz could do it if he can stay upright. Crashes are his real weakness, none of the other crap. He has 1 or 2 more years before his age actually starts to impair his performance. Remco would surprise me this year but I think it's inevitable he'll win it within the next 5 years.

I love that almost everyones favourite is Tadaj alone. If he is fit for fight as his team says I'd say Tadej and Jonas shares the main favourite role with Roglic just below. But please continue to underestimate Jonas, it's perfect! Less pressure for him

i just hoped for an even playing field...meaning everyone using the same enhancers and let their training and abilities shine rather than the gear they use

From what I've seen so far believe Tadej will win this year. Visma has an awesome team for 2024 TdF, but have doubts about health and true fitness of Jonas and Wout. Believe they are rushing their recovery, don't blame them it's the TdF, but health is more important in the long run.

Pogacar for the win by 3+ minutes

I was looking fwd to this being a very interesting tour before 3 of the top 4 GC crashed hard in Spring season. With that in mind Pog looks unbeatable if he holds the form he had in Giro, plus his team is peaking as evidenced in Tour de Swiss… Maybe a year for a dark horse or two to make podium?

Remco has no chance of winning this, unless both Vingegaard and Pogacar DNF.

Tadej is absolutely the favorite but anyone counting out JV is crazy. I cannot WAIT for this.

The wild card is that there are 4 legit contenders, so marking one rival won't be enough, especially since both Remco and Pog are willing to go long to win stages. They might all neutralize each other, but it might be super exciting. let's hope for the latter.

The news that Pog had Covid recently is significant. A punctured lung hampers your breathing, but so does Covid. The two former winners are both young. We will see how they recover shortly into the race.

Tadej has the best team, he has been the best in 2024... done! Roglic will most likely crash out. Remco will continue to have at least one high altitude fail and Jonas has not had sufficient time to overcome that horrific crash.

Oh c'mon, I hope, no, I don't really hope so, but I know that Pogi will put things right on place. And he will defeat Jonas in beautiful and epic battles. The only thing Vingo has been better at on GC so far has been durability. So far, Jonas hasn't had a bad day, while Tadej had one at TDF 2022 and 2023. But Tadej is learning fast and well :) In all other elements of cycling, Tadej Pogačar is better than Vingo. No doubts...

Jonas is really gong to struggle to come back from that injury. That’s a far bigger setback than riding the Giro. Remco isn’t in the same tier as TP. Roglic the same. Look at them in the Dauphine, neither looks like a TDF winner.

On the roads we will be happy to see who takes the victory, and the podium, top 5 and top 10 !!

Sorry, but number one should be Pogacar. He's been #1 on UCI's list. You can argue that Jonas is one of the favorites, but saying Jonas is number one "on everyone's list" is simply not factual. It borders on ignorance or is heavily influenced by individual preference to be Vingegaard's biggest fan. Let's not let our bromance cloud our judgment here!
