Stainless steel countertops give it such a modern vibe, juxtaposed with the heritage stonework right on the backwall. Old and new, all together. Love it.

Yes! I agree. Those different tones of gray and silver are in "conversation" with each other. I'm so happy the previous owner dared to go modern in the kitchen!

As a lifelong garden haver I can tell you that having that water line already ran out there to your beds is a dream. Hauling water is a pain in the butt!

Huge property with extreme potential! I agree in bringing in some experts to help with the planning. Are you going to capture rain water, use composting for soil develop and more raised beds, chemical free pest control( ducks or chickens). Nothing like going out to the garden to pick your super! Looking forward to watching it grow!!

First: I'm going to read about all these things! I gardened organically in Philadelphia (just two raised beds), but never had the ability to capture rain water or compost. So I've got a lot to learn!

As a landscape architect, this home is my DREAM! I in an apartment now but am fortunate to have a big enough balcony for a container grown garden. I have the same compost bin on the balcony too, if you can believe. I suspect you're in the Northeast? But if you are ever in Chicago, Nicole, I hope we can find ways to collaborate! I fully believe in the cause you are promoting.

Lovely house. May you and your family be always be happy and successful. I am a big fan of "grow what you can, buy the rest" gardening (and home canning). Those raised beds are great (less bending over).
