Since building it, I've made major changes to not only the interior, but the exterior of the cabin, making it much more efficient and safe to tow down the road. This is a very cool and inventive build. You can tell love went into it and you seem like a very sweet couple. It made me smile how you thought so much about making her bathroom experience as easy as possible. As a lady it’s definitely one of the hardest aspects of camping! I hope you all have many more adventures in your future.

Such an efficient and affordable way to travel! You are so inventive and considerate of your partner. I wish my late husband and I had thought of something like this during our camping and hiking days. I *hated* having to go outside of the tent at night, in the pitch dark, to find a place to urinate, while my husband used a bottle! Still and all, it was worth it. I wish you all the best!

Plastic cereal box with big snap lid makes a good camping potty for girls. Set it in a waste basket for stability or lidded bucket with bale handle for ease to empty.

This is great and would be easily affordable. I want to build a tiny house 2 years ago and was offered a trailer this size but thought it would not be big enough. You just proved it would have been ideal for me as single. Love it

This is a very nice build. I can appreciate your thought processes. Having seen more tiny home, trailer, van conversion, schoolie, etc. videos than I can count, yours is the first, in a great while, which has given me inspiration. The main reason is you made it so you can stand up inside. almost all mini trailer builds do not allow for standing. It's been driving me crazy to see folks spend a month or two, and a couple thousand dollars, and then watch them have to crawl around, like rat in a pipe, when they're done.

I love it. Being avid RVers, I love to see when people create custom creations! When we had a popup we used the Zodi Hot Shower that uses standard size propane canisters. It might be something to check into if you want to have a continuous hot shower.

I highly recommend the Joolca HotTap for a portable hot water system. I've used mine for 2 years at multiple festivals and camping. Comes with everything packed in it's own reservoir. Shower and sink setup.

Is there a link to this water system? Cost? God bless you and Jesus is Lord!!! Currently using a small microwave & bowl! Carry water in gallon plastic containers! I'm shorter, so my custom Minimicro House is 5'4" tall, I'm 5'1!! It's all electric, includes a 2' covered over back porch with 2 big spindle-columns. Inside living 8'x4'. Future thoughts to save & buy generator to secure on the porch? It has 2 small windows w/screens & a crank up vent on top. The front is 3' & goes up at an angle to make it a little aerodynamic, to save on gas$$$. God bless you both!!! 💖📖🙏🙋♀️🙌✝️

The design of your (this) first cabin (on wheels) Jack has been such an inspiration for me. Years ago I built a tree deck in a tree on my property and put a pre-fab kids house on it that time and a now graduate school daughter have rendered worn and useless. I was looking to take it down and put something it its place (for me and the Mrs.) but could never come up with a design to fit until now. I love the 90 degree rotating slats that turn the lengthwise couch into the lower half of the bed....so ingenious!

Aloha, your tiny, cozy nests are just the best. So well thought out and sustainable. It takes a lot of work but it brings out the child inside and it really is a lot of fun being an adult who can live like a kid again. 5:30 Toilet I have used that bucket toilet in my permanent residence for about 4 years, but with one caveat. I line the bucket with a tall kitchen bag, snap on the lid, then put about 2 cups of sawdust inside. I get about 5 days of #1 AND #2, with a 2-cup cover layer after each use. There's NEVER any issue with odor or insects. I either compost the bag contents or put the bag into a trash can. I live alone in rural north Texas on a small homestead. A septic system costs $15K minimum in my neck of the woods. My composting toilet was about $8 for the seat and my bucket was free. I don't use toilet paper. Instead, I have a redneck bidet made from a plastic garden sprayer.

You’d be surprised! I think maybe if it was just you, you might be able to sleep in here without feeling claustrophobic. I will say, with my wife as well, it starts to get tight

@@TinyCabinLife thanks for your reply - my claustrophobia was made so much worse by being stuck on my own in a small lift on the roof of a hotel in a middle eastern country. Fortunately members of my tour group alerted hotel staff and l was released a few hours later. Nowadays l avoid small spaces like the plague.

Thank you!!! Without the mistakes I made on the axle…having to replacing it a couple of times, I think it came out to around $1,800. Not horrible!

I love love love this!!! The sectional couch to bed conversion design is genius! Fantastic design. Look up the "Boxio" toilet, I don't know if it fits in your little nook but it's a bit of an improved design over just a bucket, while maintaining its simplicity though

Nice build. I am concerned however that the fresh air intake for the diesel heater is alarmingly close to the exhaust. They both lie in the same plane under a barrier.

I really appreciate the note here. This is how the heater came and it’s meant to be self contained. How should I go about fixing that? Maybe have a hose that funnels the fresh air from outside the container and further away?

@@TinyCabinLife Yes, I would do that. Maybe extend the intake so it reaches to the side edge of the cabin.

You are very resourceful and talented. You seem to have thought of everything. When I was a lot younger and my husband was still alive, I would have loved to have that. He was very able to build things and fix about anything, so I know he could have done all that. Enjoy while you are young. Don't forget to prepare for when you won't be here anymore.
