What I personally felt immediately when viewing this uniformly unvaried design style throughout this home was that it felt as if it were designed for others. As I delve deeper into what has inspired this thought, it feels as if it were set up as an Air B & B. Arriving upon the "man cave" really clinched this. I'm having a hard time imagining a husband who would choose a framed picture of the words Blah Blah Blah. The exact same furniture and tone style of modern/retro minimalism that's trending in the moment and represented throughout every inch of this house, does not skip a beat in the man cave space. That defeats the very definition, therefore Purpose of a man cave. Otherwise it would be a gaming room or office, as this one appears to be. Though there Was mention of One object that was not to the host's taste that was in there, so maybe it's that single uncontrolled item which qualifies the term for that otherwise quite impersonal space. I have *no* intention of being rude, it's obvious that this video is supported by many adoring fans. I'm sharing my critique and opinion that disagrees with general opinion, and I realize that will make me very unpopular. It's my view though, that if I were searching for the very expensive advice and guidance of a professional designer and I visited her home and immediately felt that 90% of what consumed the space could be-and likely Would be- swept away as if it never existed as soon as the next trend made an appearance, I do believe that I would find myself looking elsewhere. If I were looking for a design for one of my many seasonal homes that I'll likely never spend time in and wanted something that would keep it marketable, possibly. But when designing a home that is your sanctuary that ties in your past, present and future one must have the ability to surround themselves with deeply personal items that spark joy, not just confidence in assuming the approval of others. The 'man cave' and the unused, awkward seating area in the master bedroom spoke volumes to me about the rest of the entire house. The word that keeps resurfacing is "Trending". When creating a home, transience isn't what we think of first, yet the very definition of trending is: "currently popular or widely discussed online, especially on social media websites." Once the current sweeps away the trend, you are left with a very monetarily expensive or [DIY] laboriously expensive passe home. I suppose that's why these things have remained so popular since HGTV brought them to main stream. People like to live vicariously through those who can afford to swipe the slate clean. I'm hoping there's some Truly personal spaces in their lives that we just weren't allowed to see. That's just my personal opinion. This woman appears to be happy and that is what matters in the end.

Your home is beautiful! Your so creative in your design. I love homes that aren’t too big and yours definitely hit the cozy, homey and feel the love side. If I had any advice I’d say ,always stay close! That’s all that matters🥰

Not hating I promise, but this house has so much potential yet it is styled like every influencer. lacks dimension and uniqueness, it looks like most of it came from a mass produced store, why not shop vintage? go thrifting! and why not use funky patterns. if you want to know next level design look up Paige Wassel, or go visit House&garden on YT, expected more from a senior design director- again NOT hating. just my honest opinion. Other than that loved her more than her house lol
