Tour the Gateway Arch National Park in St. Louis. The Arch, the Old Courthouse, and the view from the top of Gateway Arch. This park became a national park in 2018 after an extensive renovation. Gateway Arch is iconic and in the middle of St. Louis. The visitor center is the best of any full fledged National Park. The museum chronicles St. Louis and the westward expansion. See the Old Courthouse where two famous cases were heard - the Dred Scott case and the Virgina Minor case. The first one a critical point in abolition of slavery, and the second one a marker in women's suffrage movement. Come and see what this arch is all about!

Yes it was! However, I think it was fine as a National Memorial and would have been OK as a National Monument, but not a National Park.

I went up the arch as a child in the eighties. It was fun except when the wind blew and the arch swayed a bit.

@@JourneytoAllNationalParks I assumed it was the wind. I can't think of what else could make it sway. Unless it was an earthquake which is even less likely.
