I decided to make a dollhouse with multiple scales of dollhouse miniatures on display. There are 1:12 scale scenes with cats, One living room scene that is 1:24 scale, and several really tiny 1:48 scale dollhouse rooms, each with its own theme. The thing I like about having the different scales is how you can compare them in size to each other. I will often show visitors who are curious about my miniatures this piece first so I can explain the different size scales and how they relate to each other.
