Did you know there are NO rats in Turkey? Do you know why ? You really should find out how this came to be...I believe New York could very well do the same...and many other places...cats are priceless

Cats are very good at hunting. They could definitely take care of many of the rodents BUT they would also kill birds, snakes, chipmunks, squirrels and a lot of other small animals that we do need to keep the ecosystem balanced. Plus, while we love seeing cats outside, especially when they are friendly to people, we always worry about the other natural dangers they face when they are left to over populate an area like getting hit by cars and other things. Cats are amazing though ❤️

NOPE - unfortunately, anyone who remembers the 80's and 90's should also remember the huge stray animal problem we had in the city, and there were still a ton of rats
