Tour of The Unique Central Air Force Museum

4 жыл бұрынThe Central Air Force Museum is an aviation museum in Monino, Moscow Oblast, Russia. A branch of the Central Armed Forces Museum, it is one of the world's largest aviation museums, and the largest for Soviet aircraft, with a collection including 173 aircraft and 127 aircraft engines on display.

The Central Air Force Museum, and the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Spaceport/Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida are my two favorite Museums ever, especially cause of the Rocket Garden in the Visitor Complex at the JFK Spaceport.

This is somewhere I'd definitely like to visit when it's safer to travel - From what I've seen, Monino is the Russian equivalent to IWM Duxford here in the UK.

1:00 - Nooo! Thay aren't in service anymore. And actually, Tu-22M1 isnt a modification of Tu-22. Such naming was used by Tupolev because the soviet goverment didn't wanna gave money for building a new plane, just for modification of the older one. But Tupolev had built a whole new plane, registered it as a modification. The plane described as Tu-22M is Tu-22M1, the protorype. It looks similar with Tu-22M2, but now we have Tu-22M3 in service - it differs from Tu-22M1 and Tu-22M2 not only by engines and avionics, but also by intake ducts
