Are you serious? He was probably in cancer treatment then or just after. Your body is seriously NOT up for the challenge of fighting off dozens of newly introduced pathogens...which everyone has their own slew of and everyone exposes to others without even realizing. Do you even know what chemo or some medicines do to the body’s immune system? You’re not in great shape to fight off any new germ which can mean more time being super sick, which is NOT like getting over a damn flu, but much worse. I’d bet he’s wearing them as instructed by his doctor. He didn’t even have to show up to shake hands but he did. And who cares if this isn’t the reason?! If anyone feels “humiliated” it’s they themselves not having the respect for someone’s needs, wishes or desires. I don’t even care if he’s developed a dislike or phobia for shaking hands. He showed up and he didn’t gave to. What more do you want?!!
