-------------------------------------------
In this clip, Touré and DJ Vlad discuss the Ayanna Jackson interview. At the time of this interview, Touré had yet to watch the sit-down but revealed that he actually covered the trial 25 years ago. He said that he didn't quite recall Ayanna Jackson and admittedly focused heavily on Pac.
Touré said that he was looking to write about Pac within the larger context of his persona and how the Ayanna Jackson case was another episode in the life of Pac.

I’m just as guilty for not doing nothing as I am for doing things.” He accepted blame for not having intervened on behalf of Ayanna Jackson. “I know I feel ashamed-because I wanted to be accepted and because I didn’t want no harm done to me, I didn’t say nothing.” -Tupac The New Yorker

Later they asked him “what happened to that chick at the club?” Pac called her and invited her to the room. It was clearly a set up, by her prior actions he thought she was loose and would have no qualms “entertaining” his friends. As sleazy as she acted on the dance floor she probably would not have said anything had he not called her a “b” and dismissed her after the assault

Smitty he did what he said he did. What he did was wrong. What made him a man was admitting the foul shit he did. It was a violation to women. He waxed poetic about the trauma he caused and healing for the traumatized. He told Black boys and women to “heal our women….be real for our women”. His legacy wasn’t that of a coward ass adult child. He poignantly pointed out the fuck shit, he didn’t glory in it.

That was ultimately the issue with the whole trila as Tourè confirmed he was a part of. They were concerned about 2pac the character and not getting to the truth of the what happened in the hotel room and club. He was guilty because of who he was and not what happened. 2pac also confirmed this by saying they are not interested in this case they are bringing things up that have no concern to this case in the trial.

A journalist who covers stories not to get the truth but rather to get people's character and whatever else that seems irrelevant is a very unethical way of discharging your duty as a journalist. So what he's saying is that he was trying to get the most popular narrative about the story and run with it for some alternative interest that only he knows. That's a WTF moment for me in this clip

That’s not how trauma works. That’s not how testimony works. 10 people can be in the same situation and have 10 different stories. As time goes by people remember some things and forget others. The only people that remember every detail are savant or they wrote, detailed and memorized the details. In fact, catch a person that has a word for recall of an event are usually lying. How many times have you hade an extreme event happen in your life. Let’s just say a wedding or funeral since most everyone has attended one or the other. How many times have you remembered something about that day later on that you didn’t remember then? If we are honest, all of us have that experience everyday. It doesn’t mean that you were lying.

That's what happens to all victims before a trial. The prosecution is not going to put a victim on the stand, without some coaching. That's standard and they don't have to isolate you to do that. who's story is all over the place. Why is it that whenever a woman is assaulted by a celebrity, people are so quick to call her a liar? Look, 2pac already admitted that she was actually assaulted. He said that he did not participate in the rape but he did walk away and left her while his "friends" raped her, which is what she said happened.

@Arimas Memphis The Truth never needs to be coached or rehearsed, but a lie does. If you watch her interview there's a blatant emotional disconnect concerning everyone else & Pac which is a red flag. I find it difficult to believe that someone assaulted by multiple people is only concerned with the famous person being prosecuted when you admittedly pointed out several. Is that not a fair assessment given the fact that during her interview, she didn't know nor even seem to care what happened to the other two defendants? In her own words & to her knowledge, the two people that didn't assault her were the only ones convicted....

What I did find very bizarre about the victim the ladies interview you was how she stated it so clearly she was upset about how her character was depicted and she wasn't making a big scene about being upset of reliving the ordeal that she went through she was more concerned about what her character was presented as first and foremost rather than being taken through a rape ordeal again!!!!! I also think she may have asked how upset she felt that someone basically escaped with only having to pay £1,000 for what she feels should be be quite clearly valued more higher and sold the person basically got some Cheap ass!!!! I'm also surprised that a person that had closure decided to do an interview on the subject
