Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This KZfaq channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.
If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

When I was playing a lot there was a guy in my office that would air mail the 250yd fence at the range and he was a scratch player too. I asked him why not turn pro he said I'm not good enough, you need to be under par all the time to be a pro.
@brianr6661
@brianr6661 3 жыл бұрын
@@Pulse2AM Keep in mind that shooting under par at your average country club layout is pretty easy to do as well. You have to be able to break it at tournament conditioned courses with rough grown out and super fast greens. To hit it close on those greens you have to play short of the pin and run it over, or you have to use a contour and get the ball to run towards the hole. The rough is so thick that it's hard to reach the green from 140 yards sometimes. Even if you can manage to break par consistently at the easy country club layouts, that's still not good enough. If you could manage to shoot 65 or so pretty much every time on an easy layout then you might have a chance at improving enough to play on tour. I worked as an assistant professional at a course that hosted a PGA tour event. I could shoot 2 under or so at that course when conditions were normal. When we set it up for tournament conditions from the tournament tees I would struggle to even shoot in the 70's at all. We had two par 4's that played over 500 yards from the tournament tees, and the course could be stretched to over 7600 yards.
@Pulse2AM
@Pulse2AM 3 жыл бұрын
@@brianr6661 I hear you. Our home course is Rancho Park, they held the senior tour there, women's and I believe the regular tour at one time. The point I was making is a scratch player is not good enough to be a pro on the PGA tour.

Before I gave up on golf about 10 years ago I'd taken to going round with a little bag and 4 clubs. I chose the same as James except I left the driver in favour of a 3 wood/3 hybrid/3 iron (depending how I was feeling). It was the most I ever enjoyed golf, and I shot 4 over through 9 holes on my last ever game. By far my best (half) round ever. Watching your channel has made me want to pick the clubs up again for the first time now I'm in a better place, so thank you for that.

I could watch 20 Rick Shiels videos in a row, he crushes it every time…. the videography is 🔥; the narratives are always on point. I don’t care how he plays against a pro, he’s still one of the best teachers out there

It is probably because he has been humbled. I always say that the difference between arrogance and confidence is failure. An arrogant person is someone who has never failed before. A confident person is someone who has tasted failure but is still ok.

Another great video Rick and what a player James is! Listened to your podcast with him and was so impressed with how candid and open he was about his struggles. Fabulous talent that I sincerely hope will find his place in the game and be happy. Too good not to really.
