Last year, in December, Herbert Wigwe moved into his new house at Queen’s Drive, Ikoyi, Lagos.
A mighty, imposing edifice that speaks to his ambition and class worth over 10 Billion naira.
It was his dream house, and so no cost was spared in building it.
A state-of-the-art house that is fully digital and automated as well.
You know the type of house where Siri and Google Assistant control the basic functionality of the property.
According to a rough estimate from those with knowledge of the property that I spoke to, over 10 billion naira were spent on the project.
And the reason why Herbert spent that much on the property was not far-fetched.
It was meant to serve as his retirement home in Lagos, so he made sure he spent money to build it.
Three weeks ago, he hosted Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, and his bestie, Femi Otedola, in the new property.

That doesn't guarantee salvation unfortunately. And we can't say he wasn't saved either. We just pray they were. Some of these deaths that money can't buy u out of makes us rethink our own relationship with christ. Are we truly saved? If we die now,wd the lord say good and faithful servant? Banking sector CEOs in the 'developed world; do live in opulence however, in the UK for example, there isn't that much space to build such a large house but a CEOs smaller house could easily top the sums being cited here i.e.100 billion naira is £49m, and some CEOs will own houses worth £200m or more. They have salaries worth millions then their share options and annual bonuses could easily take their pay to double their salary. If Dr Wigwe has been with the bank for over 20 years and turned the bank into the global success it is today, why would it be 'fools' suggesting his wealth is legitimate and well-deserved? He earned his pay and appears to have given back to the community back home in good measure so, again why would 'only fools' hold that the source of his wealth is legitimate? One of the reasons I started my self-funded charity is to stop Nigerians and black people from tearing one another down and start building one another like other Races do! Only then can we prosper as a Race,

With First knowledge of this property, the actually worth is $65,000,000, it has its own medical room. No banking executive make such to develop a mansion like this..... This is One of the directors who run down a bank. He acquired intercontinental bank under dubious and questionable circumstances in conivance with Sanusi. He sold $$$ to bureau de change while he bought them at cheap directly from Central Bank. He owns 12% of Access bank and he is the largest shareholder. His wife construction company get billions on loans from access bank without paying back while they secure different contracts with both Federal and State Governments. Now tell me, did his salary at access bank secure all the above? If access bank is that rich, why are they paying their contract staff meager peanut salary and send those beautiful women on unreasonable targets? People are just too emotional to understand that this Wigwe is not a saint.

@boluwajiolalekan4173 I don’t defend looter, but to be frank with you, he is one of the largest employers of labour in Nigeria and there is no record of him being a looter of money either with the ICPC OR EFCC. Until proven otherwise by the court or agency he’s a great man. Access holding is a very big profitable company that Herbert Wigwe worth is in millions of dollars.

The current exchange rate crisis has been linked to unwholesome practices of bankers. Many of them have been accused of arbitrage that is round tripping. Otherwise, how do you explain how a man who you kept your money in trust with ended up building such a lavish mansion.
