Changed a lot I’ve the years. About 50 years ago there used to be a ski lift ride all the way around the pier and over the beach, and at end of pier there was a tower skylift ride that went about 100 feet up and circled around as a viewing platform. All came down late 70’s early 80’ due to rust and upkeep

Great video Joey. I can't wait for August. I slipped on ice 2 days before Christmas and broke my leg. I'm almost back to normal. At 75 years of age, your Wildwood videos help keep me sane. Keep those videos coming Joey.

@@Wildwoodenthusiast that’s true. But you would think they’d update those rides with newer models of the same rides, or add more paid rides. That place looked the same since the 2000’s.

RIP to that tank game that was there where the new curleys fries is. You could drive the tanks or shoot them with tennis ball guns from outside.

Nice video, that pier definitely needs more rides. Food court will be nice, but more rides will definitely bring more people in. Every time my family visits Wildwood, this pier hardly has anyone there…And that is in July when it’s extremely crowded on the boardwalk.

I dont know why they removed it but they actually sold it to another amusement park. So good thing is it's still alive, just not at Moreys!

Yeah, I remember when those helicopters used to take off from the end of Morey's Pier, it's been quite a few years now. Used to scare the crap out me watching that from the beach! I remember saying to myself, this isn't going to last too much longer. LOL!

Hi Joey! My daughter and I made a day trip down WW on Sunday. I actually like the renovations. I started laughing when you said someone asked if you ever dipped your Curley's fries into a Kohr Bros ice cream. My daughter and husband have this discussion all the time. My daughter does it with Wendy's fries and a frosty. My husband thinks it's weird. I haven't tried it, but I don't think it's weird. I think you're going to like it. It's that "salty/sweet" combo. Also, we tried the new flavors at Cluster's Popcorn and the fudge at Fudge Island. They are both so good. I had the popcorn last year, but tried some of the new flavors on Sunday. Really good! Thanks for all the updates and changes!

My son was here after graduation from USCG. He told me everyone was fantastic and offering to buy them whatever they wanted. He told us as well that there were girls all over the fellas....lol. I lived in Jersey years ago..... thanks for being so great to the graduates.❤

Yes, the Fudgy Wudgy man is a local legend to children and adults in North Wildwood, New Jersey. He dispensed ice cream treats from a giant cooler he pushed through the sand1. His real name is Joseph Duncan and he has been selling ice cream on the beach since 19732. He is a retired middle school math teacher2. He has been known to decades of Jersey Shore beachgoers as the ‘Fudgy Wudgy’ man1.

Just about everybody from Philly only put ketchup on delicious Curly fries. The big French fry place on the OC MD Boardwalk only provides vinegar for their Thrasher fries so never purchase them. Several times we purchased Gurley fries & brought them into Sams dining area for the kids to eat while waiting for a pizza.

those containers look so goofy, I noticed Asbury Park has a few smaller containers on their boardwalk. nothing unique or interesting about Wildwood's containers- they really should have just left the boat tag and added a few more rides on the pier instead. they really don't need more containers or a food court- such a waste of money.

I miss the ski lift sky ride there and the art box t shirt store had some nice stuff. Also, the Condor ride vehicle was fun to sit in and get pictures.

I remember when it was Fun Pier! Loved the Sky Ride. Sorry, but birch beer is just vile! Too bloody sweet! The avocados are cute, but i wants seagull!

Love these videos!!!!! Can't believe the emergency situation in N WW. We stayed at LBoot! & Family rental at Sea Wolf! Great 2 story home just near there. Looks like a Sandy Hook situation. Great video! Thank you. We r in SW FLa now. We have our coastal issues & bureaucracy as well. ⛱️🐬🚲🍟💕

saw a Morerys worker last year get one of their giant slices at the Founders pub stand and squirt mayo all over it... normally with my personality I would say something.. was in complete shock and was speachless. So I look forward to seeing you trying that! Likely you can ask at the front stand about the mayo pizza guy.. they are likely to remember him

This pier has become such a joke. It's such a shame. They removed a Wildwood classic like the boat tag. They used to have lots of different things on the pier and it's been reduced to pay rides and the Great White. This "rennovation" is a lot of bark and no bite, much like the Boardwalk portion of the Starluxe golf course. It really is a shame how the Morey family continuously gets away with lack of innovation. It's the true hallmark of a Monopoly. I see pictures from the past and it looks like Disneyland, now it's so sterile. I hate to be such a stick in the mud, I just really wanna see more rides and attractions.

@Skittlez0553 they didn't sell it to an amusement park. They sold it to Malacari's ice cream and mini golf in Mountain Top PA. It is about 15 minutes from where I live.
