I had no idea about the existence of Fort Gross Friedrichsburg until @amiratuabubakari enlightened me with her research. Being in Takoradi already, she suggested we visit the place, and I eagerly agreed, craving some adventure in my life.
The journey took approximately 2 hours each way. Surprisingly, the 'trotro mate' who guided us claimed to know Princes Town, yet he was utterly clueless. Stranded at the town center, we sought help from other drivers, eventually finding our way when directed to board a vehicle bound for Agona.
Interestingly, the fort has a dark history associated with the slave trade, although that wasn't our primary motive for visiting. Our purpose was to create content, not delve into its historical significance, but the knowledge added depth to our experience.
Despite the unexpected detours and challenges, I cherished every moment of this trip, except for the frustrating flat tire episodes.
