This video reminded me of the old days when I was a kid. I really loved tavuk göğsü back then and was horrified when I found out it actually had chicken in it. Now I'm 37 and well, I still love it.

I would totally try the chicken dessert! As for the pastries... what Americans call a danish... the danish call a Viennese... and the Viennese call a turkish... and that in a nutshell is the historical journey of pastries. lol. Also, (a controversial view still being argued) that pasta came to the Italians via the middle east instead of the Chinese via Marco Polo. Cheers, Ladies!

You can find Tavuk Göğsü almost everywhere in Turkey, yet desert shops specializing on it makes it much better. (such as Saray or Sütiş in İstiklal) I love it. but I wouldn't it anywhere. An average one is OK, but a good one is ticker and much tastier. Also, you should try it with ice cream on top ;) And for the baklavas, try once to eat them upside down. This way the syrupy bottom will contact directly with the tasting cells on top of your mouth.

Hi Micha & Justina, I so look forward to your very professional vlogs. Yes, the Turkish people seem so friendly and I love the food, particularly the sweets & puddings, although not the chicken pudding. It cannot be a pudding with chicken in it? Keep safe. Yes. before the Covid I used to visit Malaysia quite a lot, my partner is Malaysian, but over here in the UK the Covid has increased again, so we are staying put for the moment. Cannot wait for your next vlog! Love you both xxx💖 Ashley xxx

My favorite is definetly su böreği but u must eat it from a good börek bakery. Not everywhere its good. Parsley is a must every sort of white cheese böreks. Turkkish cuisine ist the most divers and sophisticated cuisine in the world.

As a Turk i love all the deserts you tried in this video but i dont like any of the böreks. We have much better böreks called sigara böreği and muska böreği, you guys should try those. Also try gözleme.

Ahhh gözlemeeeeeee.... The mother of böreks. And the easiest. The most versatile as you can basically put anything in it. Etc. Etc. Loooooooove it.

Oh goodie! A food tour of Turkish delights! I know I'll like the boregi pastry. But I'd love to try that pistachio baklava. I've only had the more common walnut baklava. Don't know about the chicken dessert. Maybe with a beer, I'll try it. Lol! 🍺😄

Funny, the burned one you tried is kazandibi and there is not supposed to be chicken in it at all. I dont know if you just picked up a random place to eat, but you can find the best milk based desserts in istanbul, you should try either “bolulu hasan usta” or “ mado” for these desserts.

The weirdest Turkish food I've tried as a Turk was "kokoreç" I refused to try it for years knowing what it was. Untill an Erasmus student that loves it challenged me to try it lol during a drunk night out. Fell in love with it. One of the best drunk foods ever. I'd eat it at a reputable place though, knowing what it is lol... I've also seen Kelle being eaten many times. But I will never ever be able to eat that. Because the smell while it's cooking makes me want to throw up. It smells worse than okra, which I'm convinced if a devil exists must have been made by the devil
