Thank you for explanation. The music/melody is so close to Teochew opera. I wish to know more of this sub-genre (am I right?) of Teochew Opera. At the start of this video, the opera company is given as the Shanwei City Baizi Opera Company, so I Googled, and found that ShanWei 汕尾 City is in a region to the southern east area of Guangdong, next to the neighbouring Fujian Province. . I think therefore the dialect carries a Minnan twang and cadence, due to its proximity to the Fujian Province. But I am just postulating. Have not seen any Baizi Opera performance in Singapore. Thanks for the upload. Any more details would be interesting/appreciated.

@@OperafanSingapore , Very good observation. Shanwei Region is situated next to Jieyang Region which is on the west of ShanTou Region. It is not near to Hokien Province at all. The Hokien elements in the Hailu Dialect is very minimal in their vocabulary. But many common everyday words are Hokien-Zhangzhou words. The Teochew elements are very strong in this dialect. It sounds very Teochew. But they die die also never admit they are Teochewese (我們不是潮汕人）.In Singapore they are very few Haulufeng People. But there is a Huilufeng Association . I called many times but nobody answer my call . In Malaysia there are many Haulufeng people. Nearby Kulai in Johor there are alot.
