Austria really went: I'm gonna make this tournament INTERESTING. Tying the game with Canada, winning over Finland with 0.1s to spare and then losing to GB...absolutely insane run, gg.

And then they lose to GB. That was heartbraking. I was excited to see them in QF, with their strong will (shown against canada and finland) they could have make another upset with the swedes :D.

They were amazing, I wished them to stay in. But after lose to GB I changed my mind.

@@kvacm They had completely run out of juice by the time they had to face the Czechs, though. Yes, it's true that the Czech Republic was the best team of the tournament, but considering how well Austria had played against Canada and Finland, their performance against the Czechs was absolutely abysmal.

As a Swiss who has been in Prague to see 2 matches of my team, this is hard to watch. But congrats to the Czechia🇨🇿, the title is well deserved specially cause you won it at your home tournament and you guys are really passionate hockey fans🙌❤🔥. I hope we can get gold in 2026 as well, when the IIHF is in Switzerland🇨🇭 💪✌

I wouldn't have been mad if Swiss won this tournament knowing they still haven't won gold. However, as a Czech, the country just needed and wanted to win, and so we did. Hopefully next year is the year where Switzerland can have another chance and perhaps win the gold.

"Poland earns their first point in top division play with and overtime win against Latvia" - INCORRECT. Poland did not win in overtime, but lost. Caption should have been "Poland earns their first point in top division play with a tie in regulation time"

This was a great year and great tournament. See yall in Sweden/Denmark next time! Small typo, Poland got their first point from Overtime loss against Latvia, not Overtime win.

14 years w/o tittle is over for Czech. Price in Czech is for many fans good so it is not expensive trip. Utilization in stadium was good but for Ostrava is last tournament. In this hall is too hot so new grow now in Brno (bigger/more capacity) and replace Ostrava.

the rarity makes it better...believe me, after only three years it would be boring... or... they could try to switching up arenas/cities...if Brno builds a new one, I can easily imagine a tournament even with slovaks...in Brno and Bratislava...and I mean it seriously and I'm from Prague...

Sorry but one disadvantage. For every day you must buy ticket for two matches. In other country only one. So for some fans is unlogic and not welcome.
