She has to do something to teach them. Shaking a finger and saying didn’t work and it hasn’t in the past. I don’t think she hurts them. Their real mother in the forest bites, drags, slaps, and jumps on them to teach them. Monkeys are very mischievous and need consistent instruction to thrive.

It's the same way that every and all other monkeys react around anything they can eat. I've never seen a monkey content full of food yet, and these are no different. I suspect a lot of commenters here have no experience around monkeys whatsoever and think they should be trained as a human would be which is totally not the case.
