I have owned one with the 17 hp Kawasaki engine and the two all terrain wheels like this one, and it has been one of my most useful pieces of equipment. I have mowed up to 20 acres of overgrown pasture field at a time, and averaged an acre and a half per hour. I do not recommend the newer one with four wheels. They're not built like the older ones. Also, when pulling with an ATV, the 44" deck is just the right size. If you go to 52 or 60 inch, it's too much strain especially if you're on hilly land. DR could have designed a few things better, such as hiding the electrical in steel channels to protect it from brush, and a better location for the battery. It can get really heated next to the muffler. Overall, the older ones are fantastic!

Buyer beware on DR's tow behind mower Premier 44T... absolutely nothing but problems, from belt coming off many times, starter going out, new battery and now the carborater is acting up... The machine is simply not reliable and requires carrying your wallet to the next repair guy .. guess what, most repair guys don't make house calls so you have the added time and expense to trailer up the mower... Bad choice on my part...
