Tb wins easily, tds was just a copy of tb in the early days. And the grind in tb is bad. Tds doesnt have pvp. And the shitty micro transactions in tds really makes the game worse. And making limited towers on sale for robux? That really made me mad. Theyre capitalizing on towers most people dont have. If you put "limited" in a product people are going to buy it more. And 70$ for a fucking skin? AND ITS UP TO RANDOM CHANCE TO EVEN GET A GOOD GOLDEN SKIN? unbelievable.

I am kinda torn. I haven't touched TB all too much since around 2019/2020, and I have definitely played TDS a lot more than TB. Especially throughout the years of TDS's heavy development. TB still has that games era (2017-ish because as said in the description, TB wasn't originally made in 2011, it was an older place). TDS at the time wasn't revolutionary. But that all changed as TDS began to focus more on just adjusting the eye candy parts of the game over more content, and TB just ditched content in general, as I've seen it. After I returned from a few years, I only noticed some GUI changes and maybe an event tower or two, and sprinkle some skins in. That is all I could tell that got added within 2019-2023. TDS on the other hand would get constant updates in the downtime between events, granted all were basically just skins, bugfixes, or rebalances. TB is just a game stuck in the days gone by, while TDS has adjusted and raised the bar for many other TD games on Roblox. Also from a quick scroll I just did in the comments, I saw people saying TB was better solely because TDS copied TB. While yeah, some things in TDS did come from TB, that is just stuff left over from when TDS started. Back in 2019 when TDS was starting, they got permission from Plant3arth to take some concepts and TDS was a project for school originally. With the zombies, it is pretty hard to come up with some more original designs, especially for early game zombies. Now in TDS events, that is where they get a bit more creative with designs and have their own more original-ish ideas. Towers being copied is kind of just faceless. BTD had an ace pilot before TB, a guy with a pistol is a generic beginner character, same with a sniper or a gunner. It is hard to be 100% original with tower ideas too. Plenty of towers in other games with damn near similar characteristics or names to that in TB. The only instance where copying was pretty blatant was Graveyard skin, Hidden Wave, and I wanna say Mecha Base copying Zed, though it is just a dev tower. Saying TDS copied TB is like saying someone covering a song is copying. Yes, a cover is just copying a song, but you give it your own spice, your own flavor. Take Metallica's "Whiskey In the Jar" for instance, it covers a cover of an old-ish Irish folksong. You wouldn't say Metallica copied/stole Thin Lizzy's version of the song. If you listen to both, you would notice a stark contrast in how they sound. That is them giving the song their charm, their flavor. I'm not saying this to completely negate anything that TDS could've/can do to copy TB n' such, but things that got copied from TB to TDS in the game's early days were given their own flavor enough to be acceptable as not being completely ripped. TDS never changed those fully, even as the game developed, because it became part of the games identity, essentially. Would you start playing TDS because they changed the zombies appearance not to resemble TB? No. I kinda steerd off course and focused on the zombies lol. I ain't going on another entire ramble session for the towers n' such.

Tds didn’t stand a chance really, nostalgia carries and tb has more broken towers, take the golden commando and phaser for example, they are really BROKEN and op tag teams (in my experience)

If I'm being completely honest, TDS's golden minigunner is way more OP. It's not good in quads, trios, & duos. But once you enter a solo match, you MUST bring it. Since 1 golden minigunner deals 103 DPS, 40 of them deal 4138 DPS, which is way more than 6 golden commandos even with their OP support. And that's not even with commander. Once you add commander, it deals 6413 DPS!!! But to be fair, it does cost nearly a million bucks to get them all.

I'm gonna just say, TB is more reliant on nostalgia. I last actually played TB back in 2019, came back ~2 weeks to go to see what changed, and TB felt exactly the same. 4 years later too, and I was nearly able to solo the game first try, not remembering how I would do it. Can't necessarily do that with TDS, lets just say on fallen. Easy and molten are cakewalks, so no competition on that. If I had never touched or seen TDS before, and you were to show me a picture or 2019 TDS and TDS today, it'd be rough to say those are the exact same game. TB looks and feels the exact same as it did in early 2019. Now, I am a TDS og. Got the badges to prove, grinded heavily back then, was involved. I prefer current TDS much more than 2019 TDS. Better eye candy, more towers that almost equal TB's amount, loads of skins to unlock, more balanced, loads of modes to play, when there is an event, always fun to play, and fun to make fun of for always being delayed. TB, after you unlock every tower, kind of loses replayability. It is the same mode, and the only flavor that gets added is versus. Only thing that could cause you to play it over and over. TDS has many modes, and you could give a shot at stratless and do a challenge for each one to give extra flavor. Only challenge you could really do in TB is like "Can I beat a dude in versus with scout only??" or "How far can I make it solo with a scout?" Although, to each their own.

To be completely fair, being a veteran in TB, but being low level and not mentioning having been a TDS og do not even out. In 2019, I played both for the first time, and became a master at both in the same year. Moving into the present day. Haven't touched TB since 2019, same exact game I remember, minus skins. TDS, completely different.

Yeah, Tower Battles is better if you ask me. But we all can agree that TDS is taken by far a lot more seriously, the game has loads more content and the overall quality is by far better than Tower Battles. Yeah, the 1v1 mode its what keeps this game alive, even i only play it for that.

Tower battles is more strategic, with every tower having it’s own use and stats. TDS is requires a lot of grinding and most of it’s towers are copied from tower battles.

TB also requires a lot of grinding, fym? 200+ wins for 2 towers? The obvious grind for cash to get good towers like every other TD game? Also half of TB's towers are copied from BTD. That's a baseless claim. While yes, TDS was given permission to take ideas from TB because it it has gotten original since. Accel was really the last time TDS took from TB, and that was 2020. Plus TDS's towers all have their own use and stats too? Oh yeah, pyro functions the exact same as sledger. Forgot mini could stun zombies like warden for a second. The only strategy in TB is pvp. The strategy in TDS is literally every mode outside the standard easy, molten, and fallen difficulties.

@@klasrem yet those towers are extremely optional, the towers are in little to no meta strats w the exception of gs and plasma meta, and speaking of 200 wins it takes 200 wins to get a single golden skin, which if ur lucky will boost ur tower's by 1, it's not like towers such as accel are optional in game, many strats require them in the current meta, to beat solo or even duo modes such as hardcore or an event, u either need friends, money, or endless amounts of time, in tb u can play solider + Cammander and win matches with high lvl players

@@cinnamonne121 hunter came out before marksman, and there is no other way to make a pyromancer tower that uses a flamethrower. Accelerator and ranger are copies though. Not to be rude but I just wanted to give some credit to TDS because they did create alot of original towers.

TB BTD Scout = Dart Sniper = Sniper Grenade = Bomb Commando = Dartling Ice freeze guy = Ice Aviator = Ace Mortar = Mortar It is hard to be original. Stuff like pyro is completely common in games so things like pyro or scout towers are completely baseless in points because there is really no originality to them.

Tb event actually have challenge in them while not taking too long to beat, they are short but still fun to beat, Tds did this back then and that's why so many people like old tds events
