The 40th performance was the best of all time. Rocco is gone, Mic is gone, David has retired. This performance (the whole 40th concert) had so many iconic past members and long lived great performers. The Masters of Funk. Nothing compares.

Oooooweee!! I was definitely digging that funk!! Being a pro bass player myself, that was an ABSOLUTELY SICK groove that Rocco was throwing down!! I liked that so much I tore that song apart and now for the first time in years, I played it on a 4-string bass! Inspiration!! To say the least, that was THE MOST!!!🥰🥰🥰

This is a demonstration on the skill level that the brass players former and present possess. The writing of the riffs played in back of Richard Elliott is so TOP!!! Lead trumpet is killer!! Greg Adams has his improv moments. Is that Mic Gillette on trombone in the section as well!! Even the Doctor is pounding it!! Great track!!

@@dennylibertario2246 you are being too much of a dickhead with this sentences. Garibaldi is a true legend and he is making all this crazy rhytms you commented and more... but man, the rhytm section is both drums and bass, Garibaldi and Prestia are like a pack, the combo of both of them is what make the groove go on throw all the song like it never ends. I can play this one over and over again. Greg Adams absolutely kills it on the muted trumpet. David and Rocco too. Richard moves away from his smooth jazz comfort zone and nails it. As for the Lenny vs. Richard element, I'm a Lenny man. Listen to his solo on Knock Yourself Out from "Live and in Living Color," and you'll see what I mean. No disrespect to Richard. Wish I could play like him. Saw TOP a month back and they put on an amazing show, even though it was hot, the venue was outside, and they just got back from Tokyo, so betting they were still experiencing jet lag. Never a bad performance in all the times I've seen them. Anyway, tightest horn section ever. Keep going guys.

It never fails to blow my mind, how nonchalant, and effortlessly David Garibaldi plays soooo much percussion - with so little effort. His expression never changes - he never even looks at the players - his form is textbook! A lot of drummers flail about, and look like they're assaulting the kit - sweating and such - David seems to never break one. I don't get it.
