Would love to see a camera angle from center mast. Like a insta 360 camera mounted up high. With narration. Love the channel! 🤙

Thank you! I love seeing what you are doing with both hands. I intend to build a model of a z-drive tug, and am very curious to see how the real ones are operated. And, having been on the coast and in and out of boats for over 40 years, watching you maneuver a tractor tug is just so cool!

That was different. Capt, your videos get better with each one. If you ever do multiple cameras you should put a picture-in-picture shot of you nav screen. Be nice to see how you're moving around. Keep up the good work.

Awesome job man, lots of working the line on that one. I was a little nervous when you kept having to walk her toward the end of the video to anticipate a push when the line kept pulling you away when you had to back 🤣

Hey now! Yes sir it was a lot of little moves on that one. It was tight on the bow and at the end it was also tight on the stern. Thanks for watching bro 🤙
@cpl_05032 ай бұрын
That must have been a tougher than usual job. The pilot seemed a bit more excited than it sounds usually. He also seemed to issue a lot of orders that he cancelled before you even had a chance to position. I assume from that, it was very tight and hard to get the ship maneuvered. Every second was great to watch. Thanks!

Hey, I think I’ve invented a few new drinking games. 1. The player has to take a drink each time you touch the microphone. 2. If the mic is swinging back and forth, you have to chug a beer before you stop it. 3. Shot of whisky each time you lock the winch. This could also be extract points to the first two. I have an idea for one for each time you change the throttle, but it needs some work. Just something to think about. 😂. (Of course this is only for those of us ashore, not standing watch or maneuvering :) )
@tugboatwilly8432 ай бұрын
You got us laughing hard on here! Thanks for watching!! You might not make it till the end of a dry dock job playing those games tho 😆

What's the phrasing for when you can't immediately execute an order for some reason? "Unable"? I really like the communications in your job. Very clear, no bullshit, just order, readback, yes sir, and save the chatting for the office. I need some people at my work to go to the pub more often so they can shut the heck up at work haha

Is your tugboat considered the occasion going? River push tugboat? Do you ever push a barge for the oil and gas industry? Is it only assisting with barges/ships with containers? Is your tugboat the twin-screw or twin-jet system to get around? When you retire from tug boating are you going to buy one to live in for the rest of your life if so I would like to do that myself. Sincerely! R.S.V.
@tugboatwilly843Ай бұрын
This tug is for ship docking but it can go in the ocean. We do not move barges but I guess we could if needed. It mostly does ship assist. Thanks for watching 🤙
