Creating A Simpler Life Off-Grid

Күн бұрын

We are letting the chips fall where they may while we tow the DK2 Wood Chipper around on our ATV trails to help clear them!
We had a windy winter here in the Adirondacks and branches and trees fell all over our land. Today we are going to use it on some 4 wheel ATV trails and see how it does being towed around and keeping it hitched to the ATV while using it.
This is our second year using the chipper and we continue to be very happy with how it handles and chips. The blade is still sharp and the chips are still exactly as expected!

Toss a few fish in there with the wood next time and make some killer fertilizer to spread out and till. On second thought, maybe that's better for a science or agricultural chan. :-)

It's great to see your trails getting clean and that you're pleased. BTW the chips fall where they may also in Las Vegas but they are more round and flat shaped. Looks like your gamble on DK2 machine turned out to be a sure bet. Super Video. Thanks for a great review and thanks for choosing Dk2Power. Gregg Neuer - President Dk2Power USA. Las Vegas.

@@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid, quicker, quieter, and more efficient. You are most likely correct. You know people I don't? 🤣 Besides, ya' gotta feed those Hoffa Chips to the pigs late at night when no one's around, see, which means yooz are gonna leave wit mud onna tires and whatnot. 🤣 Guys, I'm half losing my mind down here so I'm being real silly, I know. You're right, it's hard to 'get to know' people online as much is lost in translation and transliterations. But just know that, even though you guys are doing product reviews and such, which is not an interest of mine, I only watch your channel for the ads. 😅 Rich, you have a great sense of humor and Kathy regulates you in a complimentary way. And you guys are enjoying life. Real deal. Peace.

Very cool! We got the WoodMaxx 1260 w/ electric start last month and love it, looks almost identical to yours and sounds the same. Have you had to sharpen the knives yet? After about 5 hours of chipping old dead/dry branches they need to be sharpened but i'm not sure the best way to do it. Any tips?
@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid
@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid 4 жыл бұрын
Haven't done it yet. Mine are looking like they are going to need sharpening very soon so I will be making a video when I do. FYI, our blade is reversible so yours probably is too so you can just reverse it for now instead.

@@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid I'll look forward to that! And I'm digging your lot. Ours is 5 acres in TN and about 4 of it is wooded like yours. The previous owners did what you're doing - cleared out a spot for the house, 800 ft from the road and built a log/stone house in 1994. We bought it in January. So I've got alot of it thinned out so you can see thru the trees now, really loving that part!
