it was not unreasonable for jailor to think that maf threw and I was evil, but he could have found out by lynching one of us during the day instead of killing 3 townies in 1 night (me exed, vigi shot, vigi death) and losing his exes. The right call was to lynch either one of us the next day and see if maf was telling the truth. But then he DC'd which was pretty awful of him.

It is massively important that as vigi and jailor you always make a move that gets town a more guaranteed win. There is no world jailor and vigi exe that night. They don't have to. Make sure you know who are maf then exe. When you are WAY ahead, play it safe

Yeah I think town of salem mods are pretty much nonexistent, or at the very least, they refuse to do anything meaningful. I see people like Cake or Kyle in roughly a third of my lobbies. Both of them are notorious throwers in case you haven't had the displeasure of meeting them. And no matter how many times they get reported, they just keep doing the same thing, and on the off chance one account gets banned they just pay $5 and have a new one. I wish the devs had a way to ip ban them or something.

It's also how d1 maf leavers happen so often, a forged mafia leaver is so easily believable.

This is made up numbers but I'd wager around... 49 of 50 people who leave games when they're 'it' (Mafia, Evil, Vamp, you name it) are simply privileged bitchasses who are sobbing ragequitters. I stuck out 6 evil / neutral evil games in a row today and it sometimes just makes me wonder why I bother. The system clearly doesn't punish spoilsports who leave as evils, I'm playing my line-up of evil games hoping for one Town game and when I finally get it they have a bitchass on their team who disconnects Day 1 and ruins the quality of *my* Town game, it's unfair as fuck. There's no worse feelings than playing by the rules and having privileged, shitty cheaters skipping their turns being evil without consequence.

As Skimm has said before (I think)... if you don't think you can finish a game, don't queue at all

Yeah I ran into a game like this, thankfully I was jailer and basically just grabbed him by the balls and forced them to not listen. But yeah it sucks I even actually did believe them since throwing like that is so unbelievably common I was just being cautious since it was smart and like he said there's no need if they're already outed take it slow.

It is a bit meta, but it's not hard to figure it out honestly, a slight amount of patience will tell you if they threw or not.

Forgot to add that 13 being fake sheriff was obvious when he had no actual info by D3 and then eventually stopped posting his finds

They just want to have a good rank in whatever game where their meager IQ can actually let them have it. That's really all it is. They don't play for the game, they play so they can show off their meaningless rank.

I would argue that 11 straight up threw. Shot a townie, and when confronted their defense was "I' was bored, report me see if I care". That is basically them saying outright that they threw the game.

Yeah 11 I'm unsure of if that would be bannable, but jailor leaving I think could be. I tend to report people who dc in case they dc often. I agree people shouldn't be banned for occasionally disconnecting which can happen to anyone, but I report them in case they do it all the time.
