Worth noting in regards to everyone commenting on Skrelv being mid, his active ability gives Toxic 1 on top of the protection so when paired with the duelist means a successful attack racks up 4 poison counters as the toxic 1 from Skrelv doesn't replace the toxic 1 on the duelist it just stacks on it as its another instance and this applies to the other toxic creatures as well.

This deck is an absolute banger in the current meta and I'm loving it, thanks so much for the deck tech and to the original designer. It's aggro, it's control, it draws cards like crazy, it tempos and floods the board, and has a hard to deal with wincon in toxic. Honestly, one of the best decks in Standard right now. I made a few small changes for how I play maindecking a Vampire instead of the Sentry and dropping a Defector MIte for another White Sun in the mainboard and just a few small changes in the sideboard. Biggest change is I removed the Seedcore to keep the Plains count up, because Seedcore just didn't seem to matter in the long run.

Brews bubbling up like this has to be a side effect of an extra year of cards in the pool. I wonder how much this will change since none of these sets were designed with a three year standard in mind

Ive played this a few games in bo3 and has a fairly competitivenand high win rate, however if you dont get a welcome down early or it gets removed and youre still alive after playing out your hand, the length of life at that point gets cut short depending on what deck youre playing.... its def one of my faves and maybe ill be able to get it in time for my area rcq

Having a white weenie deck that can grind through wraths is a dream. The promise of white weenie has always been having big armies but the lack of card draw has always made them very fragile since the only card advantage they were allowed to have was making tokens.

Every time I see a deck like this, I keep asking where the Sunken Citadels are. Even in Standard, a couple of Field of Ruins could probably find their way into the main as well.

A sunken citadel + field of ruin deck would likely be black as you will want to strip the opponent of all their resources. This is not the best fit for that strategy

Yeah, I'm thinking Mirrex activations as much as anything else, but maybe there just aren't enough nonbasic land targets in Standard to mess with the Plains-matter cards.

It's literally the worst matchup for the card, really should've been boarded out. It's better vs decks that don't run 10 copies of cheap removal, where it can either stop removal or force mana-even/mana-unfavorable 1-for-1 trades on removal/sweepers. On top of that, this deck has pretty even card quality and low curve - normally, sniping out the threats/ramp of domain/ramp is *muah* since even if they remove, it significantly delays their setup, and occasionally vs non-aggro you can snipe out their next turn play and snowball. Finally, flying lifelink means it can also help stem normal aggro, which of course is meaningless vs poison. It's normally a pretty solid turn 2 into Raffine as well, since opp needs 2 pieces of removal to stop the snowball and you get a peek to see how to put out threats/use own removal.

What about a one off of the angel that adds 2 +1/+1 counters upon entry. You’d still get all the value from the small creatures entering but end up with 3/3 double strikes and other creatures mono red wouldn’t be able to shock them and there is a ton of other utility you open up because of it.

I think would be interesting if rest of deck adjusted to be more of a corrupt rather than pure poison setup - as it is, the deck almost always relys on going wide and removals instead of stats on an individual creature.
