The late, great Antonio Carluccio, a great Italian chef, said a long time ago that, for Italian seafood stew, or soup, there were two fish that had to be in the shopping basket. One was Weever Fish, and the other was Lion/Scorpion fish ... if you search on YT there's even video of him making it. So you showed great skill & judgement to go for the Lion/Scorpion Fish :) Enjoy!

I would advise growing some bamboo on the island so you can make a better shelter and make cages to catch crocs in or make a raft so you can fish off it on the island, it would help to save other trees from being used as building materials. I would just make sure that the bamboo is isolated so it wont take over to much. There is also some great shelters you can build with bamboo that has water gutters built in with parts of the bamboo there is a great example of one in the book "SAS: Survival Hand Book by John Wiseman" just thought I would give you a idea from one Aussie to another. Keep up the good work and congrats on the island you have what some only can dream of.
