you've got 8 overlaping pod in pob. i guess that could happen if the enemy is inch perfect in the dead center but i feel the avarege would is 5-6 not to mention that you can shoot twice in the same spot and the pods are not in the same place

@@soccer101pro maybe he's set it up for fighting kitava. if you played toxic rains for more than 5 minutes you'd notice that your pods are always spread out literally across the entire screen. the more arrows you're shooting the more aoe you need. if you shoot more than 7 arrows you need literally 200% increased aoe from tree/items to hit a human sized enemy. for all 10 pods to hit you need like 250% aoe. but hey who cares about ethical guide making when you can cheat the pob to flex.

I recently converted my tr trickster to ci and I love it. Def less revolved around dodge, but chaos immunity and no hp flask is pretty nice

It's not 40% less damage with 20% less & 20% less since less is multiplicative. 0.8*0.8 =0.64 so only 36% less

For people asking about the real price of this build, only the bow costs 10 ex. A good bow. Empower level 4 costs 4ex. So... dont expect tons of dps with only a toxic rain level 24.

Ive played TR at least 4 times and never spend more than 200-250 caos on any of that runs. Killing Sirus and Elder and Shaper (no insta delete, but pretty fast) with no major problems. And with a little luck by your side yo can get an Empower just runing some delve gem places or some Gem Incursions, so even less budget.

A better bow can be crafted easily. He could craft one +1 socketed +2 all socketed bow and damage over time. This is would make an empower gem to be non-necessary until 70.

You sr quickly became one of my favorite build creators. A good build for somebody like me (i've been playing for quite some time, but i'm NOT awesome at it xD) requires that the build is ACTUALLY tanky and that it's obtainable without spending multiple leagues worth of currency. That's what you do. I really enjoy it. I can't tell you how tired I am of those videos "500 M dps in a budget" videos from other content creators that either unobtainable, inflated numbers or glass cannons (usually a combination of the 3). I already did the ball lightning ascendant last league (and it was my league starter) and it's awesome. This is the one i'll try now :) Thank you again!

TR is my favorite build honestly. I just can never get the damage as high as most builds people post because they always have the pastebin with all compete endgame gear and no real progression milestones in the build. Just replace as you get better stuff. You keep it simple though so keep it up. One of my fav KZfaq Poe’ers right here.

if you want a priority order, i can give a rough 1: Carcass Jack with 48% AoE or higher, Amulet with +1 to chaos or dex gems with or without chaos dot multi, should be at the top of your list, even if all your other rolls on the amulet are dead, thats important, next up would be a very large thread of hope, make sure you can fit whatever the negative roll is in, after that, go for tempered arrowheads/broadside large clusters, start off with a larger 1 AND ONLY start off with 1 cluster in general, if you reach level 95-97 you can redo your tree to fit 2 entire clusters in, go for 9-10 passives at first, the 8 ones are not so cheap, do the same with wicked pall/student of decay mediums, after getting those go for regular jewels with life/damage of any sort (projectile, area damage, chaos.... chaos dot multi is the most expensive one), you can also get a +3 bow, go for a cheap one with only dot multi, or only speed or even neither, it still is better then most other bows except a corrupted for +1 arrow quill rain. after that just look to get as many damage over time multi rolls in other slots as you can like your quiver gloves etc.

There is another thing to consider, read all other comment shere, we actualy are a lot to have noticed his mistake (clic bait) here, and that beeing toxic rain got theorical insane damage due to overlaping pods, but in reallity its impossible/unrealistic to make lets say more than half of them hitting the same enemies especialy when small. Good side is that it got a decent area coverage so decent clear, down side, dps not that good for bossing, still good and yes without too much investment compare to many other build but still this kind of build isnt much tanky as well so sometime its a pain. Anyway that mean that you have most reasonably at half or even a bit less damage that people generaly throw at you. Here he talk about 17m shaper dps, i guess in the video his gear would be probably more on the first phase so lets say POB 10m shaper DPS and then you half it so 5m ! Honestly even 5m seems generous as it looks to have a bit of "trouble" clearing the boss and especialy those portal, so that feels a bit of a clic bait Edit : so yeah all that for giving you a bit of context and dont feel to overwhelm when you try to replicate builds that say "easy high damage millions of damage, easy all contant, tanky as fuck and of course on budget" its generaly a big fake and that requires a lots more knowledge time or investment that those people say, especialy now with GGG nerfing all the fun and everything to the ground

i played this build till it get unkilable and it took WAAAYYYYYY more than 50c more like 160ex. BOW: 10ex HELMET: 1ex BODY ARMOR: 10ex GEMs: around 40ex QUIVER: 18ex BOOTS + GLOVES: around 4ex BELT: thank god cameria gave me a HH or else 70ex amulet + rings: 8ex far away from 50c af!

Careful with TR and PoB, one thing for example : when you do increase attack speed (master fletcher's node e.g., but also frenzy charges, Finesse, Farsight, etc...), the attack speed applies more damages to dot's DPS, which is impossible and doesn't work in game. And the overlapping pods boosts theorically a lot the DPS, but it's much more difficult to accomplish in game. As said before, we isn't at all 15 or 25M DPS. Skill effect duration has the same issue, while it effectively boosts your damage in game, PoB overestimates this a lot compared to reality. TR is an extremely difficult skill for theorical builds because of the way it works, and Pob honnestly totaly fails at this exercise. I know the build is nice, it almost was my league starter (i went for PF cause of boosted flasks, ailments immunity and area of effect bonus), but it's not any close of 25+ millions effective DPS, more like 6/7 with big investment.

Yeah. Without massive area of effect scaling, you're rarely going to get more than 4-5 pods to overlap. I think theoretically, you can get up to 7-8 overlapping with 11 total pods without going into insane levels of investments (as in, less than say 100ex investment). Also, yeah, pathfinder is a way smoother play style as you can pretty easily get 100% flask uptime.

Accurate comment. With 100 area of effect. The realistic dps of stacking pods is somewhere 4 to 5.

@@Hardolaf Increased AOE also increases the spread, realistically you can only get 4-5, there is another streamer who did a whole calc/test on this. (dying sun helps a bit ofc but not 10....) As mentioned its too easy to boost PoB paper dps with things like 15 stacks. 10 pods and some duration nodes(you would actually have to stand still and attack for the full duration to ramp up to that dps). Still its been one of my favourite builds in the last few leagues, went raider though.

I was actually surprised at how nice this build is to play... its very smooth clearing T16 maps and for a dodge/evasion build I very rarely if ever die. Very happy with this build! Keep up the good work! Btw what are your thoughts on using Replica Volkuur's Guidance gloves with despair corruption on them? I know they're not BiS gloves but I managed to get them to drop with despair corruption and have been happy with the 20% chance for chaos skills to ignite as it interacts really well with cinderswallow flask ingite mod which adds 10% more damage

As someone who has played Toxic rain every league since Delve, as both PF and Trickster, you inflated numbers on PoB, you NEVER have 10 overlapping pods, you need something like 500%+ AoE to even try that which isnt doable, most people can do 6, MAYBE 7 pods overlapping and even then those people go pathfinder, tricksters tend to do 5-6. yes this build can do really good numbers, but going pob warrior mode in your pob doesnt exactly make you honest about things. you need 92% AoE to overlap 5, 178% AoE to overlap 6, and something close to 280% AoE to overlap 7, etc.

I will add though that more arrows even if you dont have aoe to back them up for bosses, makes map clearing even more of a joke, but thats as far as having 10 arrows will go, it will not aid you on bosses minus ones with huge models and those typically die in 2 seconds in maps.

i met 2 other people and we were grinding heists, the guy carrying us through ilvl 80-84 heists was a level 95 trickster, he wiped entire rooms and reward rooms so fast i couldnt believe it. This build is seriously insane DPS

I'm running the CI variant of this, and it's super fun and easy too! Major differences in the skill tree direction, but most of the main damage nodes and gear are the same (obviously swapping life for ES every chance you get).

I startered as TR trickster with mines and TR is really strong! And i really like it, max cap dodge, almost max cap evade... So smooooooth. I will start with TR trickster for nexr league if they will not nerf it. Im waiting for your league starter soon 😉

lvl 93, still using quill rain in juiced tier 16s. Also I'm scaling ES (2600 atm) and using 4L soulrend in the helmet for the leach and clear. One of the better builds I've played!

How does your DPS multiplier for skill get to 6 and above, I run my lv93trickster with only 0.5M damage and the problem is I only had 1 on the DPS multiplier for skill. It’s on the calculation of DOT part.

Toxic rain has always been one of my favorite builds. I usually do it on a pathfinder though, trickster is probably way better but infinite flasks and movespeed is just too good to pass on.

The problem with Toxic Rain builds, I've found generally, is that bosses where there is a lot of movement cause a lot of trouble because you have to ramp the damage up fairly fast. In last phase Sirus, the slow ramp up speed, especially if you lose track of him, can make it extremely difficult to kill him. Especially if he's dropping mazes on your head a lot. Toxic rain is solid, but it always feels like it plateaus. Getting through those plateaus is expensive.

I've only one doubt about physical dmg red, PoB says it's 17% but I don't see gears that increase this param. How it could have this value and which gear could increase this?

I had hopes, then I checked the price of "budget" helm oO 10ex+ and the bow is insane price as well, even with prophecy trick. If you was not lucky to get that prophecy for helm and bow, forget it...

It wouldn't scale as well on that build unfortunately, Toxic rain needs lots of attack speed and EDC doesn't get that.

I think your dps numbers are pretty inflated due to "overlapping pods" being set to 10. I think it's pretty hard to get 10 pods to overlap. It's still strong even if you set overlapping pods to 5 but I think it's worth noting that 10 is fairly unrealistic without heavy aoe investment.

The 10 pods are set because they don't affect the build's DPS in PoB if your projectiles aren't up to that number. It even says in PoB that its affected by the amount of projectiles. I set it to 10 because that is the maximum that is available when you have the alternate quality Toxic Rain as well as the helmet enchant + the flask going. You can check this by going to the pob and reducing the amount of pods by a few times with the main attack without awakened/alternate gems and see that it doesn't affect the DPS until you get down to the amount of projectiles. I do need to make a separate helmet though as that shouldn't be on my gear. It is meant to be on the expensive gear.

@@dywanwpokoju138 It may be 12? I'm not exactly sure. With CDR you can keep them up pretty reliably if you're trying. The difference in DPS is not huge. I reduced it to 12 in PoB and its still well over 15M dps. Check my other comment for the info on pods.

Hey Big Ducks, I have been enjoying this build recently. Currently lvl 67, my question is what is the blue gem in your chest piece? I looked up all the info on your pob notes and i see where u transfer to an empower gem rank 4+ but besides it showing a blue socket i dont see what gem you place in this blue socket.

u should try using maloneys mechanism for COC with frenzy,caustic arrow,awakened arrow nova support. also if u use phantasmal toxic rain with a dying sun flask and an extra arrow on the helm u get full screan clear 1 click. also use carcas jack mannnnnnnnnn

Right, RIGHT?!? I can't even see the fight mechanics of the bosses in my Golem build, that's how fast they die and this dude is impressed by this build???? O.K.... Even a BB Glad can do more DMG and be tankier for the same budget. Also the bleed pops are more pleasing to the hearing than the pods for a long time play.

@@dominges but can gladiator faceroll any map mods? I dare you to run reflect mods wiuthout sextant and do uber atziri without any issue. This is where the build is 100x superior to other builds. Faceroll anything. Not to wrry every single map mods. Heist is not a problem.

@@herogin710 Dude, the Bleed Bow Glad can roll phys reflect maps :D Your so called hits do almost no dmg, it's the bleed that insta kill and pop the mobs... The only annoying option to avoid is no regen, too much flask management but it's doable. Left my BB Glad sitting at lvl 95 just 'cause I get bored AF, that character is still a beast doing all content easy btw. The LL Carrion Golem Necro is just way more fun for me and WAYYYY more tanky and chill too.

Once you get +3 bow and Empower 4, this build goes fine. It was my second build in Heist. Did Simulacrum, T16 full delirium, every unique contract, Delve 500. Supreme Ego and Wind Dancer are key for this build.

Did u do t19 maps i could use help on my tr rain build stuck in t16s n the big bosses would love to talk and supreme ego thats the first time i heard? So we dont need an ailment immunity build? U got discord?

@@beasthaven1571 i think t19 maps can be done with more investiment. Grab a quiver with 'bow fires an additional arrow". Amulet with +1 dex and +1 chaos. Gloves with chaos damage over time multi. Hemelt with toxic rain increased damage or additional arrow. Supreme ego is a node skill that you can only use one aura skill (malevolence) and so increases toxic rain damage a lot. Wind dancer increases your evasion. If you use Queen of the Forest, you can reach 35k evasion.

It's Asenath's Chant. You need to get the prophecy "Song of the Sekhema" to get the upgrade for the basic version of this helmet: Asenath's Mark . Not easy. And the helmet provides an unique effect which can't be substituted as far as i know.
