Oh I had the very thing happen to me last year, made a video about it called "I Had a Heart Attack?", and everyone being like, "it was probably a panic attack blah blah" OMG NO, that was so annoying. Like an epic, growing, crippling pain in the diaphragm that makes it hard to breathe. If it's any comfort, it never returned and seemed to be a once-off :)

I had this as well. The NHS said to me when a doctor checked my chest that your breast bone can slightly come out of place like something very subtle that won't cause too much harm, like if you bend your wrist wrong or strain it too long and it gets cramp. So always sit up right. I've had it when I slouch for a long period of time. I think it might be due to leaving a bra on too long or something or simply just having it too tight around that top part of your rib cage. It HURTS like hell though it's like having leg cramp in your lungs and you have to take tiny little breaths because it hurts so so so much. It will pass though you just have to massage your chest and it'll go away with time, I've ended up crying with it so many times but you gotta make sure you breathe because I legit think you could probably pass out because you can't catch your breath. It properly winds you though and it's absolutely horrible. I'm not surprised Tears went to A&E because it literally hurts that bad. It's like someone punched you in the chest almost and makes you feel sick from the pain.

I had something similar happen to me a few years back. I couldn't breathe, my chest was on fire and really tight, and I felt sick to my stomach from the pain. I called an ambulance because it felt like I was having a heart attack. After being examined and tons of tests later, the doctors diagnosed me with a condition called costochondritis (spelling?). It's basically when the muscles of the chest wall get inflamed, causing the restricting feeling and extreme pain. They couldn't really tell me why it happened. I guess it's just a random thing that happens sometimes. They gave me muscle relaxants and painkillers, then sent me home. Pretty scary, but after a few days of rest, it went away.

I wish we had a healthcare system like yours...that ER visit would cost thousands of dollars here...some people just chose not to go because it's so expensive. Also, after hours, you have one choice, hospital or nothing. WTF, America, you fail! Anyway, I'll stop ranting now and say once again I'm glad you're ok :)

Yep, I've had one ER visit that cost me almost 5 thousand dollars and it was just bloodwork and an ultrasound. After that I just accepted my fate and thought if I was gonna die so be it, I wasn't going to leave my husband with the bill.

I've had a problem with my arm where for reason really no reason at all becomes tight and painful to move also the chest muscles across my upper body like at the collar bone to my boob's becomes slightly tight and it constricts my breathing 10% at least but it happened for absolutely no reason at all but iT wasn't painful enough almost to the point where I have to call an ambulance or anything ant after like two hours or so it went completely away. I hope this help you a bit but yet again I have no answer as to what might have happened. I'm sorry..

and the cost of the ambulance alone is horrendous. I had a kidney stone a few years back and actually thought I was dying (because I didn't know at the time that it was a kidney stone). Security at my college called me an ambulance. I had insurance too, but the ambulance still cost me over $800.

If the pain is in your left arm it could be a heart related issue, same with the chest pains. You may want to check your blood pressure and have your blood levels checked. I'm only speaking from my experiences though, it could be something else, but I wanted to comment because these are signs of heart attack or heart disease. So if this is related to that, it's better to catch it early.

I have had something very similar happen to me and it was gas! I know it doesn't sound painful, but it actually did cause the muscles around my lungs and my diaphragm to constrict and spasm, and it was the most painful experience of my life. Somehow the gas had gotten into my chest cavity, which was why it was so painful. I thought I was actually going to die. Just wanted to share a similar experience :) I love your videos.

This is going to sound weird, but it has happened to me and a few people i know... trapped gas, aka gastritis. It feels like you are going to die and hurts everytime you breathe etc and yes, enough to make you cry, go clammy and nauseous. It can cause excrutiating pain anywhere in your abdomen from your upper back, chest, to your groin, depending on where it is and what it's pressing against. If you think this might be it, try a hardcore anti gas pill, lots of h2o and some major stretching, yoga style, to get it moving to a less uncomfortable location. Hope all is well! xoxo

My Step-Dad went through this. He thought it was a heart attack every time cause the pain hurt so much. I know a lot of people will refuse to believe it just cause of the pain itself like how could it be trapped gas but, yeah. I agree it's a possibility.

my daughters appendix burst when she was just 4. scariest thing ever watching them wheel my little bitty girl down the hall on a full size stretcher. then I really lost it when I had to sign the paper saying I understood there was a chance she may not come out of the anesthesia because she was so little and they couldng be held accountable. scariest thing ever but she's 13 now and perfect. Kaya, bby, please don't ever feel bad for calling an ambulance or going to the hospital. I had excruciating back pain a few weeks back and I ended up going to the hospital (I refused to call 911 just for the reason of feeling ridiculous) and they had to run tests on me and stuff, and it was only a pinched/pulled muscle. But the point being, like the cliche saying goes, it's better to be safe than sorry, especially when the issues are near your heart and lungs and you can't breathe. I'm glad you're doing okay and hope you're feeling better

this sounds exactly like when I was going to the hospital a few years back, it was actually costal chondritis, i thought i was having a heart attack. We found my trigger was acid reflux causing it to get inflamed. maybe have them look at that. (if you have issues in the future) its not something that can be easily figured out through blood test or questions ^_^

Glad you are okay, and hope that you never have a painful incident like that again! Your story of what happened reminded me of the muscle spasms I get that make me pass out or become physically because they hurt so much. Last time I had an issue with my back and abdomen doing it's stupid uncontrollable spasm's I wound up being stuck on the floor for 6 or so hours and after someone managed to get me up I was barely able to move for almost a week (not even exaggerating) because it felt like every muscle in my back and abdomen had simultaneously torn themselves.

I hope it's not Fibromyalgia. I have fibro and I have that kind of pain constantly and once it starts it continues to happen more and more often. If it is Fibro then it will take a very long time to diagnose because it is completely invisible to testing. You have to have tests done for everything that can possibly be wrong before they agree it is fibromyalgia. I hope you find out what it is though or that it never happens again

Ha! I think the rheumatologist got to tender point #3, then quit, because I was in tears and couldn't take the pain anymore, and he saw it and didn't want to be cruel. Now, 10 years later, I kind of want to die tonight and hope it's better tomorrow, despite the drugs I'm on. At least the muscle spasms are under control, but the pain is out of hand. My husband thinks he has the flu and thinks I'll get it too, but I have no way of knowing other than the congestion, lol. 23 years is a long time. I hope you have lots of "good days" ahead.

Seriously, if you're in pain, there's no need to keep random strangers on the internet updated. If there's anything to diagnose it's to understand that the internet doesn't take priority over your own health. Get your health sorted out first, then update people.

@TheDrakon

Fair enough, but from my perspective it sounds like your priorities aren't where they should to be. I get that your online community is very important to you, but they'll understand if you vanish without a trace and then resurface because of a medical emergency. As soon as I'm in any pain or discomfort I couldn't care less about what the online world thinks of me. Online popularity is the new addiction and it leads to many people being injured and sometimes dying.
@ToxicTears
@ToxicTears 7 жыл бұрын
TheDrakon Sorry, but your view of the situation is completely incorrect. It wasn't like "hold on don't treat me yet, I gotta tweet". It was a case of having to sit around for a long time waiting to be seen and not knowing what was wrong with me. Whether I was tweeting, talking to family or playing a game on my phone, it really wouldn't have mattered, it was any distraction while I was waiting around to be seen.
@TheDrakon

Oh okay thanks for clearing that up. There's a lot of people who are that way and it's a big problem in today's society. I've met people who put their health in jeopardy over frivolous things like worrying about getting fired if they take time off to get looked after. The last thing I'd want is for you, or anyone's health to not be a personal priority.

do you wear corsets? might be that sounds bad hope your ok now well better anyways :)
@LadyAhro
@LadyAhro 7 жыл бұрын
I personally wouldn't consider this likely however there's been a trend of goth KZfaqrs receiving fashion corsets (aka the Lucy's corsetry do not buy list contenders) so the potential for injury through cheap corsets (and not quality corsets, that's less usual) is a bit higher. But I don't believe she's a big corset wearer honestly.
@BVBfanEllena666
@BVBfanEllena666 7 жыл бұрын
Corsets never do that as they don't restrict your chest, only your waist as they are designed differently now than they were when they were in fashion many years ago :) I've worn corsets for years and nothing like that has happened because it only moves your free ribs that aren't attached to your rib cage :)

Why do you think they ask questions? my dad and I have acid reflux. when I had my first experience with acid reflux I had no idea what it was and neither did the doctor until my dad said something. then the doc was, "oh, ya. that can be a possibility." a doc has to get as much info as possible and then analyse on the possible diagnosis.

Hey, I am really glad that you are now feeling a lot better and that it was nothing serious. I know that it sucks not knowing what caused it but from my experience with medical issues, quite often if the tests show nothing and you don't find out what it is, then most of the time it's nothing too serious as that would normally show on the tests. Also hearing you say that it was really weird for you to phone the ambulance just sounded strange to me, not in a mean way, it's just i have had to phone it many times now for different medical reasons (my mums epileptic and my sisters allergic to a lot of things) so it's just so normal to me and I never really thought of it being a strange experience for someone else. Any way I'm really glad that you are mainly ok and also that Jake was so supportive. I love you to and all of your videos xx

Oh, wow. I know this is about a year+ old, but I'm so sorry to hear that happened and I really hope that you're doing well and know now what it was or could have been? I suffer from a lot of mental illnesses, anxiety and panic disorders to name a few, and it's really frustrating when something happens to you, and you know it's not your anxiety, but others keep saying it is. It's frustrating! I completely understand. Everyone knows their own body better than anyone. I'm glad you were okay and hope you're doing better! ❤❤

I'm so glad you're feeling better Kaya!! I'm gutted no one could tell you what was wrong with you! The same thing happened to me earlier in the year but it was in my lower abdomen and no one could find out what was wrong with me and I was sent away from the hospital a few times before it was finally discovered I had, had a cyst on my ovary and it had burst. It's horrible when they can't find out what's wrong and everyone jumps to assume that you're pregnant or it's just something simple. Also, be careful with the stickers huni they're really painful to get off use loads of moisturiser xxxxxxxxx

Hey! Been a follower for a while now. I just wanted to say you're not alone! I actually have a very similar condition. I've had it since I was around 15-16 and it flairs up every now and then. I've been into hospital a couple of times for it, and no one knows whats wrong either. My chest hurts, I can hardly breathe, and it can wear off between 5 minutes to a few hours. I'm glad you're feeling better and I hope you get some answers soon. Take care!

Glad you're OK that sounds scary!! I had to go to hospital a fee months ago for chest pain and I wasnt doing much same as you, I was just chilling on the sofa eating my dinner when it hit me really bad! went to sit on my bed and it got really sore like crushing my lungs 😞 out of hours told me to come into hospital too, although I had my dad there to leave me in. I think chest pain can be something to do with the heart so it's not to be brushed aside!! sounds like Jake was so worried aww bless him :)

As you were describing it thought I did remeber it happening to me as well. All I did though was take pain killers and fell asleep and when I woke up it had gone down but I still did felt a bit sick afterwards as well. I'm hoping this doesn't happen to you again. We love you Kaya! And bless Jake for worrying that much. I have some crazy health problems already, and I have what sounds like the same thing happen to me pretty regularly. And the doctors just don't know what to do for me either. It is scary and it does just kinda spread from my core all the way around and makes it difficult to breathe. Oh the joys of my body just trying to attack me for no reason...
