Ryan and I visited Korea for 2 weeks to see some of my family and for Ryan to learn more about my culture. But of course, I had to squeeze in toys here and there! So in this video, you'll see me shop around South Korea's biggest Toys-R-Us location in Lotte Himart/Zettaplex in Seoul Jamsil. They had sooooo many adorable toys everywhere! What did I pick up? Omg, i remember binging yours and Chad’s videos about 9 years ago when I was in my early teens (refusing to grow up) and now in my 20s, KZfaq decided to recommend me this video, what a blast from the past! i haven't been to a toys r us in awhile, but it was lowkey exciting to see what they had in-store in this video! it's really cool to see the different toys they have compared to abroad :O (those toys were so stinkin' cute !!) i hope you and ryan had a fun time with your family and being back in korea!

One of the reasons why I loved going to TRU more than Walmart or Target was that they had non-mainstream toys as well. I found so many cool toys and dolls that way. So it was so nice to go to Korea TRU and see toys that are different from what we have in Target and Walmart. I wished I had more suitcase space BUT I'm just so grateful that I was even able to go. Thank you! We definitely had a blast spending time with my family and exploring Seoul. Hope you can visit Korea someday too!!

Teenieping! I saw this in my recommended and wondered if there would be any there. I'm actually surprised by how much there was, I heard it was doing well but I didn't realize it was that well. It's a Korean animated series, magical girl slapstick comedy. It's by SAMG, the same company that makes Lulupop and has also done animation for the earlier seasons of Miraculous Ladybug. The blind boxes you got are one from season 1 and another from season 2. There is an English dub of the series on US Netflix but currently they only have season 1.

I just finished watching the video (My other comment was 2 minutes in) and you also found the Daisy dolls they are very pretty too!!! The blind ones are chibi versions of the same girls in a format similar to the LOL toddlers. Has Korea changed a lot since you lived there? I am so curious about your perspective as a Korean person! I almost died when I saw all the ReMent!!! And did you get any Joujou dolls? I got all excited when you showed the displays! I love how the older ones resemble the second version of MaBa Barbie!!!! Anypoo (see what I did there?:P ) it was an amazing video and can't wait for the rest of the highlights of your Korean trip!!!!

Gabe!! You always blow me away with such thought out comments T-T Thank you! To be honest, I'm sure Korea has changed a lot since I lived there but I kinda couldn't tell. I worked for almost 3 years in Seoul from 2010-2013 but the area I lived/worked, we didn't visit. Had we gone to that area, I could've compared to how it was before to see how much it changed. Korea is always changing so fast though! Like for example, they were still building Lotte World Tower when I was living there but time time, I got to visit it fully built! Not only that, they changed the location of Seoul Jamsil TRU store and etc. Regardless of how much it changes, Korea always feel like a home to me - probably because I was born there and still have some of my closest family living there :) I can't wait to go back!!

I wish I could've met you when you were here! Also how did I go to that mall so many times not knowing we had a Toys R Us there 😂😂 Also 티니핑 is a Korean cartoon, it's the biggest current craze for kids here, they have the toys, clothes, stationary, even made a musical out of it ^^

Hi Mel! How are you? Yes! We would've gone to Korea sooner but with life and Covid lockdown, it was much delayed. I was so happy to finally visit Korea with my husband to have him meet some of my family and have him experience Korea. Toys were an amazing bonus, of course!

I miss TRU in the US so much. It's nice to have TRU corner in Macy's (it's better than not having any) but TRU stores were my favs to visit because they carried non-mainstream toys that Target and Walmart wouldn't carry. I found so many cool toy/doll lines that way.

I usually see people buy things and mail it to their home in a big box. You won't need extra luggage just get more boxes to mail home.

We don’t have ToysRUs anymore 😭 it’s now smythstoys here and they shut down all the stores nearby so I have to drive like 2/3 hours 😕

When we went to japan we opened all boxed items and collapsed the box put in bottom of suitcase but left item in blind bags still took up way less room

DEFINITELY! There are some other TRU locations in Korea but one in Jamsil Seoul is definitely worth the visit!!

For sure! Sorry it's been taking a bit but I was on a family trip for the holidays, then had to turn my house upside down for a floor replacement (mentioned in my KZfaq community tab ^^) And to make the matters more tricky, I came down with a cold which made my throat super scratchy T-T I'm starting to feel better so more videos will follow as well as unboxings ^^

I believe it's still there but she just doesn't upload anymore. Jenny has lost interest in making KZfaq videos and has other priorities (ex her full-time job) Rest assured, Jenny is doing well :)
