Yep doing toy grade conversions are rather fun and it's how I got into the hobby also.

If you're into the building part of the rc hobby doing toy grade conversions can really test your skills. I bought the the orange New Bright McClearen that was being sold at the time this was being sold. I think I'm gonna come up with a chassis and gearbox system instead of using the little weak motor and gearbox that came with it.

I have not tried barbie vehicles yet the fun part is trying to get hobby grade parts to work with the chassis

@@rccargarage Yes true! I find that the tinkering more fun than driving the cars around. Currently messing with an old Nikko Albar-Buggy dune buggy. It’s like the Nikko Big Thunder buggy but has lights. The steering servo is going hay wire and if I can’t sort it out I’ll pop in hobby grade electronics but no motor swap as there is a unique three gear transmission in it. Kinda cool as it has front swing arm suspension similar to old Kyosho/Tamiya stuff. Have fun!

@@rccargarage Oh yeah, as far as the Barbie stuff it’s more so the body on a hobby grade chassis, not converting an RC Barbie car. The motors I assume are fairly small in those. There is an interesting wired remote corvette I picked up that has motors on the front wheels. Yeah weird, it’s front wheel drive. As far as bodies I’ve used her Ferrari 308 on a home made on road chassis. I’ve save some stuff for future projects that I picked up cheap like a couple ‘57 Chevy convertibles and a VW Rabbit convertible. They have decent detail but the Chevy chassis is long and narrow so finding a chassis to fit it is gonna take some experimenting. Also found a 1/6 scale RC Supra I melted the electronics on that l’ll first try to use the existing chassis with the stock 540 motor or else after will stretch a brushless Slash chassis to fit under the Supra body. Probably will cut the roof and windows to make it a targa top and I have a 12” Paul Walker figure to fit in. Too many projects and too little time!!!!

I'm a bit new to hobby grade rc so I'm not really sure how to do somethings

To be honest your going to be better off getting a awd chassis and putting the Bugatti body on that. Its going to be more work and more of a headache for you to try to make it awd
