I always liked how the antagonist of the movie isn’t really a villain. You can argue that she manipulated Woody into giving his voice box to her, but it was definitely out of a place of wanting to be loved. You can’t imagine the heartbreak I felt when Harmony tossed her back in the box and she said, “You can have your voice box back. I don’t need it anymore.” 😢

If they had made it so she didn't get Woody's voice box, it would've sent the message "you don't need to fix yourself" better. As it is, she DID need the voice box. To help that kid find the courage to go find a security worker. I also think she is a manipulative character who would stop at nothing to get what she wants. She was willing to tear Woody apart for that voice box. And even when Gabby Gabby is trying to level with Woody and connect with him, she is being manipulative. AND she gets what she wants. And gets no repercussions for her actions. All the other villains of this series get what they deserve. But I can not say that this character deserved a girl. I don't even think Gabby Gabby said sorry. That's the worst part. They promoted so many bad ideals with this movie. Including but not limited to, Being in a relationship where your partner treats you like dirt is OK and normal, s*****al thoughts and actions are easily fixed by being told you are important to someone(this one really angered me, as I have dealt with people with those tendencies and I myself have dealt with it first-hand and it's not that easy) the way they dealt with this was childish, immature and insulting, they also sent the message, "want something? Be manipulative! You won't have any repercussions!" And "don't be loyal! Follow your "heart." WOODY IS LOYAL! I could go on. But I will do that in my main comment on this video. Which will take a while, because there is so much wrong with this movie.

Yeah lets manipulate and gaslight the main character to give him what its basically an organ after trying to get it by force and then still gets away with it by getting what she wanted at the end WOW such a good antagonist

Considering what Pixar is considering for the plot of Toy Story 5, it’s going to be hard for me to imagine how they’re going to integrate Andy into the story with Woody having now left the gang.

This is definitely the most overhated Pixar movie. I like how this one doesn’t repeat the same central philosophy - that kids need toys, and toys can only find meaning in life by being played with. I think it does a good job challenging that, and it was a great way to develop Woody's character. Also, 31:02 That's Tinny, from one of Pixar's old shorts, which would lead to the creation of Toy Story.

Everybody has such a boner for Toy Story 3's ending (which admittedly was amazing) that most couldn't keep an open mind for this film. It's stupid and it's why I'm thankful I have a more open mind than most people. TS4 is a great film.

@@jordanwolfson8378 I've always said, Toy Story 4 is a good movie but it didn't really need to exist. Like we got a good conclusion with 3, Andy goes to college, and passes his toy onto the next generation. So 4 didn't really have to be made, but it *is* a good movie.

31:02 thats Tin Toy. Back when Pixar just made shorts (whoch I would recommend reacting to their old shorts), Tin Toy was a one man band toy that ran away from a baby, but inevitably played with the baby at the end

My only beef with Toy Story 4 is that it stole the Oscar for best animated film of 2019 from Klaus, which deserved it more. Aside from that, I actually liked this film because it’s entertaining and got me emotional too. Also, Forky was the best part of the movie for me!

The Toy Story 3 game has one level around Buzz's adventures in space. It's loosely based on the opening to TS2 and even has some shot-for-shot sequences in it. I remember playing it on Wii and PS3

Except for Buzz’s lame inner voice subplot, I really enjoyed Toy Story 4. I remember someone said Toy Story 3 was the end of Toy Story, but “4” was the end of Woody’s story. That’s a nice way to put it.

31:03 This is Tinny. He’s from a short film Pixar made called “Tin Toy” which was about him trying to escape a human baby. The short film was made back in the early days of Pixar and was paired with the first Toy Story when it was released on DVD (I think). The baby looks a little weird in the short film. But I thought it was really cool Tinny actually appears in this movie.

i'm in TX and while i was homeschooled until 3rd grade when I went to public school kindergarteners had half days, and pre-k had naps. i think kinder would have mats to lay down for storytime but since they were only a half day, naps wouldn't make since. they already had recess and storytime and snack time squeezed into like a three hour day lol i remember they'd get to leave at our lunch time.

The scene with the kid getting lost at the fair hits deep. That happened to me. My family and I were in a crowd and at one point I didn't see them anymore. My brother and I got free yard sticks from a booth and my dad had said to hold it up if you get lost. I did that, but I kept walking. He never said to stay where I was. The crowd and I walked towards the exit gates where there was a bus pickup area with buses that went to various parking lots. I somehow got onto the right bus that went to the lot our car was parked in. I found the car, looked inside and saw my stuffed animals in the seat. The doors were locked so I waited there. It felt like I was there for hours. I was scared and cried. Eventually, a husband and wife were driving by and asked if I was who they were looking for. They gave me a Coca Cola polar bear stuffed animal and some popcorn and they drove me back to the fair. Apparently there were volunteers, police, K9s, and a helicopter looking for me. The reason my family disappeared in the crowd was because my brother wanted to go see something, but no one told me. When I saw this movie in theaters, I got teary eyed at that scene. It brought back the trauma. I thought it was a good movie overall and they definitely improved with the look of the animation.

For the part about the faces in the original toy story that movie was the first computer-animated movie to ever come out back in 1995 so they didn't have the experience to have human faces animated...of course as time went on each movie disney and Pixar released was to better hone their skills and experience and of course by the time toy story 3 was being developed they had way more experience the technology was way more advanced so that they can have fully individual animated human faces...if im not mistaken the incredibles first movie was the first time Pixar made a fully human cast to be animated and the main characters/protagonists. From there they just kept polishing their skills/experience

Don't know if this is true, but when this film came out, I remember hearing that Tom Hanks and Tim Allen actually teared up themselves either during, or after the recording of the Woody and Buzz goodbye scene at the end.

IMO this was unnecessary, but it wasn’t bad. It felt like it was just an insert saying “here’s what happened to Bopeep” and “here’s what happened when Woody makes his own path”. Even with Toy Story 5 it’s the same thing of how it’s unnecessary and hopefully it’s good. The only way how I can say it’s not unnecessary is if they give us another satisfying ending that concludes the toy’s story(pun intended 😂). Like how u guys said the first trilogy was with Andy and the next ones could be with Bonnie or just to conclude the character’s story

A great idea I have heard about the story for the 5th movie would be that Andy is now fully grown up with a wife and kids and Bonnie is growing up and thus giving her own toys away, so now the other toys have to find Woody and the other lost toys and being them back, so they can be given back to Andy, so he can play with them with his kids. I would love that.

Just as a movie franchise suggestion for you all, I would definitely recommend the godzilla movies, and maybe the TV shows if you all find the time. They are all really good (minus a couple ones), but I guarantee you all will have a grand time watching them 👍

After recently given this movie a chance since i didn't watch it when it came out, i feel a lot of people went with the pre-established judgement that this movie was not needed, so they walked in looking for reasons to be pissed off, or worse, did not even watch the movie, read summaries and called it a day seeing it as a bad concept. Because if you just look at the overall story without context, you can see this as a betrayal to the second film. But when talking about the film, most people would not tell you that Woody was already nobody's toy and that he was being ignored, as well as the concept of "lost toys", which after seeing it, makes me think that the people criticizing the film didn't really give it a chance.

31:04 that is Tinny, from one of Pixar’s first original shorts, Tin Toy! Toy Story definitely took heavy or direct inspiration from that short. All those old shorts should DEFINITELY be watched on this channel.

Another great movie! Meet the new crew! Thought this was the perfect conclusion. Don't know why they made a Toy Story 5. I also love the fact that they touched on what it's like if something that's not a toy is made into a toy could create existentialism. Also more mafia toys! I keep saying, these extra movies should go the route of Rogue One and be separate from the other Toy Story movies. They could have made this all about Bo. This went the way of Wreck-it Ralph 2. It seems that Disney forgot that characters matter that they aren't just empty marionettes without heart or soul. They basically just slapped on different ideals onto popular character so they can make a point, kind of like what they did to Luke Skywalker.

Against all odds, this works. I don’t think it tops 3 but it’s a great epilogue and a classy send-off for Woody. I have no idea how they can pull off a fifth movie. I want more original Pixar stuff like Turning Red, Luca and Soul. Finding Dory, Incredibles 2 and Lightyear just felt incomplete and middling.

This is also my favorite movie too. My nephew loves toy story (and i condemn my dad for even deciding to show him the first one) to the point of having like an obsesion with it. But, like him, i loved more the second movie because jessie and bullseye were my favorite characters. When i got to watch the third one, i almost cried on the end because it was like saying goodbye to my childhood. But then, this movie came out and i love it. It really gaves Woody a good ending and with it, a chance to do more than a new movie, like a series about the lost toys with woody and bo co protagonizing it. I truly hope that one day disney realizes it about this opportunity and we get to have another toy story-related series.

So far, for me, Toy Story just don’t miss. That’s why I’m so curious about what the next one will be about. I’m trying to think of the things I was afraid of happening to my toys when I was a kid that hasn’t been covered yet, but nothing comes to mind. Other than that, I’m torn between whether I want the story to continue with some of the characters we already have or if they should give us a new cast. I’m sure they’ll add new kinds of toys and playthings anyway, so, a new group might not be all that bad.

So there are two 30min short things for Toy Story one for Halloween and one for Christmas which both take place between 3 and 4 and introduce some characters. The Halloween one actually introduced Combat Carl (the three toys where Woody left one hanging) and he was great. Anyway they are Toy Story of Terror and Toy Story: That Time Forgot and I think you guys should definitely at least watch them even if not as a reaction.

The movie is also pretty fucking ableist Gabi is obviously a metaphor on disability and it ends with her getting what she wants not despite of her disability but because she "fixed it"

So Toy story 4 is a great movie but there are some things that really bug me still. For instance Woody and Buzz are strangely out of character. From what we see Woody wouldn't have left Bonnie at all even for Bo. And Buzz seemingly and funnily dumber in this one. But what bugs me most is the fact that Bonnie only has Woody because Andy asked her to promise to take care of him. But now she does not even care or notice about the one toy Andy had the hardest time letting go of. I mean He only let go of him because he knew he would be safe.

You have to keep in mind bonnie was only 4 years old back in story 3, it's really not unreasonable for a 4 year old to lose interest in something by the time their 6 😅

I still remember going to the movie theater to see this movie with my mom and at that ending my mom cried during the goodbye moment, I liked looked over at her and asked her if she was crying and she still denies to this day that she didn't, but I know she did I saw her LOL.

I can honestly say I really like this movie. 3 will always be my favorite and my preferred way to end the franchise but I do find 4 very enjoyable. I like that Woody and Bo got back together. I am interested in seeing what 5 will be about. I kinda think it'd be interesting to have it focus on the toys at Sunnyside and have Andy's/now Bonnie's toys have more of a side role just to avoid continuing to drag on their roles especially since Estelle Harris (Mrs Potato Head), Mickey Rooney (Mr Potato Head) and Jim Varney (Slinky) have passed. Although Blake Clark could obviously continue the role as Slinky. I'd be kinda interested in seeing the toys at Sunnyside be the main focus with Barbie and Ken being the leaders.

When I say that Bonnie sounds *exactly* like how one of my cousins used to sound, I'm not kidding. The way she talks and laughs sounds 100% like this cousin. Until I looked up who voices Bonnie in this, I thought it might've actually been my cousin😂

Retcon's the past, makes Buzz a moron. Barely includes the original cast, makes a doll that should break easily an action star, has Woody abandon everything he's believed in up to this point. I have to disagree about this movie being great.

The buzz lightyear tv movie could work as an episode, even if you don’t watch the tv show, the pilot tv movie would be a good reaction, I’d definitely watch
