Even though I'm not actively into collecting anymore, I always had an eye on Rainbow High dolls. Since Monster High and Ever After High's high quality standards and unconventional fashion style were replaced by the cheap standard economy fashion doll look, I didn't come across a new doll line which actually appealed to me. I've never been into the short skirt + high heels + girly accessoires vibe of 99% of fashion dolls, which is why I've always only admired Rainbow High's beautiful face paint, the adorable inset eyes and groundbraking posability from afar. But this line - Oh my god, finally some amazing, creative, LAYERED fashion with awesome coats and overalls and pants and boots and hats! I'm so in love and as soon as the'll be available here in Germany, I'm going to get all of them ... except for Ruby because, seriously, what's up with that under eye makeup?? Thank you sooo much for the detailed review! You're doing such a great job and besides being extremely informative, your videos always radiate such a chill and relaxing vibe. Lots of love! 🖤🖤

I loved seeing all the dolls side-by-side. I will only be buying a couple, and I am still trying to decide which those will be, so it helps to see them all next to each other. I am also glad to know that I have a chance at getting a less shiny face. I think these dolls are fairly-priced in today’s market, but the number of dolls across multiple lines means choices have to be made. The staining and ink marks are very disappointing; please let us know if you find a solution.

Personally my last on my buy list from this line is violet. I love her look but she has too many draw back. Like she just doesn’t have the same quality as the other girls in my opinion. Like they have lined jackets but violet can’t? She also just seems very. Plain to look at

Although I can't exactly help you prevent the fabric stains on the dolls before you open the box (nor do I know how to remove them once their there), I can tell you how to prevent it from happening in the future! Clean a bucket out very, very, very thoroughly. Add 4,5 L fresh, clean water; 75 mL sodium chloride (aka table salt); and 2,4 dL or 1 cup of white wine vinegar (any brand will do). Stir together. Add fabric that you want to keep its colour. Press it into the water - no air bubbles! - and leave for 24 hours. Some colour may seep into the water which is a-okay. Remove clothing from water, rinse out the bucket and add fresh water to it. Place the fabric back into the water and swish it around a little bit. If it still bleeds colour - repeat the vinegar, water and salt solution. Then let the fabric fully dry and the colours should stay in place (aka not stain your dolls or lose their colour), even when washed.

I KNOW that I have limited space but this new doll line has just grabbed my heart like no other. Ik Monster High was revolutionary and all and it always has a place in my heart but I grew up w it so it seems sort of “old”…I collect them too but omg I want alllll the RH dolls in a different way 🥵

Great job you two, this must have been a mammoth undertaking. We're knee-deep in a Rainbow High doll avalanche and I'm all here for it. While I do like all the girls' second outfit, I will probably only get Sunny and Violet as all of their pieces are great for mixing & matching and I have no real use for all the other girls' sporty winter gear. Skyler's big quilted coat and skintight, Bond-Girl looking bodysuit are very tempting though. Poppy is also super beautiful. Argh, I'll probably bite the bullet and get them all knowing myself.

Love the review …. I have the core six, so I’m waiting on other characters…. 💜 Try acne cream with Benzoyl Peroxide, any over the counter brand will do… It usually removes staining, ink & marker’s from other vinyl dolls, hopefully it’ll work on plastic… Plenty of Tutorials on KZfaq . For me it usually takes a few treatments.

I found it interesting to see which are the least popular ones in my local toy shop. They had one Jade and a ton of Rubys left last week from this line.

How to stop fabrics from leaking colour when washed (and possibly keep them from staining dolls): Clean a bucket very thoroughly. Add 4 L clean, fresh water, 75 mL table salt and 2,4 dL white wine vinegar (any brand will do). Soak fabric (make sure to push it underneath the surface and everything) for 24 hours, remove from bucket, pour out vinegar/water solution, add new water, back in with the fabric and gently swish it around. If colour still leaks, do a new vinegar soak for another 24 hours, and let the fabric dry completely. Et voilà. I have no idea how to remove those stains though. If you're going to use acetone, or acetone based nail polish remover - rinse with soapy water afterwards to remove the acetone.

Hey MGAE, ...guess what??? Braids are beautiful on dolls. Dreads are beautiful on dolls. Corn rolls are beautiful on dolls. Very dark skin is beautiful on dolls. True Asian eyes and skin color is beautiful on dolls. Different body types is beautiful on dolls. Representing the physically challenged is cool and beautiful on dolls. LBGTQ+ representation is beautiful for dolls. Real diversity in upper management is beautiful as well. Z Great review as always.

As a floridian, winter snow themed dolls are always a very hard sell for me but I think as a whole I might like them all more than the initial wave, with Sky (and Jade's wonderful but too light for these looks frosty lipstick) being the exception. Hell, my least favorites from the original sigatures (Poppy and Vi) are my hands down favorites and if I get Vi & Sunny - no bangs! - and Poppy then Ruby (who I feel is arguably the most consistent with her styling concept) is sure to follow lol. Sky is....fine but I do think if I hadn't curled my own signature version then she might move me more.

Very detailed video as always!!! 👍 While I was kinda in the same opinion (will be a good idea to have a new core of dolls because feels a little bit repetitive to have "almost" the same doll over and over); I agree that this line is particularly beautiful in it's ow way.. The details, the fabrics, the textures and shiny pieces are fenomenal!!! How fashionable you can be at a sky lodge? Ask Rainbow high!!! And the skies function as a stand.. very creative and never done before -as i can tell-. The creativity is out of the box on this line. I still have to wait more to get any of them, but I am liking Sunny and Skyler a lot!!

Wow! I'm absolutely Inlove with Skyler's outfits the most out of this series! I didn't care for any of these but I've never watched a review on her. Both her outfits are TO DIE FOR! Great outfits in this collection, though the staining and some of the clothing flaws other people have mentioned are disappointing. I'm in Canada right now and they are $60 CAD ($48 USD). Kia was 60 as well. The closet is 90 ($72). After NS taxes just one doll would cost the equivalent of $55 USD. Ouch. A part of me wishes they would nix the 2nd outfits to keep doll costs down and release the extra outfits as fashion packs.

I’ve been waiting for this review! You may have convinced me to get the entire line (I initially only wanted 3 out of the 6), but they are all so detailed that it is hard not to get them all. As for the stains on the doll’s body, for the black stain I would try a damp magic eraser (that worked for a similar stain I had on a Pullip doll once). For the green stain maybe the acne cream method? - although I’m not sure if that works only on vinyl or this type of material as well. Good luck!

Wow! All of them! Glad we could convinced a fellow collector to collect the winter rainbow! Max said he tried a magic eraser and it didn't work. Though it was an old eraser so it might be user error. Max also used nail polish remover on the green paint and it kinda just smeared it around. We'll keep trying! Thanks. -Sang

@@ToyChat Did you try the magic eraser with a little bit of water? When I just tried the magic eraser on its own it didn't do anything, but when I dabbed it in a bit of water it removed some of it, though not all. But, yours is not as bad as mine was.

Great review! I really appreciate how in depth it was for each girl. As for cleaning tips, I’ve used S’Awesome spray at my local dollar tree. It tends to clean up my dolls a lot.

Great video! I think Ruby’s top resembles “G By Guess” because a lot of there stuff says “Guess Los Angeles” Is it just me or does Sunny look a shade or 2 darker than the one Sunny dolls? I really want this line for my collection but almost $40 on 6 dolls is a lot! I wish they were the same price as the originals...it’d be a lot easier for me to get them. Also I wish that these dolls came out during Christmas time because of the theme “Winter Break” hello it summer y not a summer break line instead

We haven't noticed a shade difference with the two Sunnys but it could be the case. We haven't taken a close comparison. Also the reason we are getting a winter line now is because they want to make sure these are available at all retailers by the time winter rolls around. -Sang

Your set-up for this review was so cute! Hope you got some great photos out of this. I was able to shop around Walmart and Target to get all of these dolls within two weeks. However, my Sunny has a bobble head (her head is very loose), and Jade's eyes are wonky. Hopefully Sunny's head won't pop off, and Jade's eyes don't bother me too much. Her crunchy hair needs a wash, though. Can't wait to see your thoughts on Jett and Series 3!

I hate Ruby’s look. Sunny is cute but my favorites are Violet main look and Jade’s second look. I hate all the skates. But all the jackets are really nice. Ruby’s makeup sucks as well. I’m just getting Violet, Jade and Poppy. Mostly to complete the main dolls I have. I get all of Jade dolls because green is my favorite color. I’m getting Mint for sure. I think Sunny’s looks are true to her. Thanks for telling me about the staining.

I got my violet, and I didn’t like the pearls they used, so I spent like 5 hours adding new pearls… looks so gorgeous now but my fingers did hurt a lot the next day ghghfjdj
