I have that Ernie puppet! He came with a plastic stick that u can attach to his arm. That's how u can make gestures. And u put your hand inside the head to move his mouth. Great memories!!

Another great Saturday morning! My wife and I spent 6 hours at our storage unit this week. Took forever going through all the boxes due to all the packing paper used by the movers. Had a ton of fun and a lot of stuff I forgot about. Brought stuff home that I’m going to try to sell and it is a ton of work going through everything. I got a little taste of what you guys do. My favorite find was a WWF program and wrestling line up from when I went on 11/18/86. That brought back some memories.

Alright, after all these years, I'm finally going to my first Retro-Toy Con. Which is disgraceful considering I've been living in Charleston and Aiken for the past 22 years. My VIP ticket is purchased, and room reserved at the event hotel. Looking forward to experiencing the convention.

It's cool to see the Transformers boxes and how they work. I've only ever had loose G1, though I have some instructions and a few tech specs cards. Send those damn Funkos to the dump with the Atari ET cartridges. 🤣

That little plastic piece goes inside of the bubble to prop up sideswipe so he'll look better displayed inside the box otherwise the car will just flip inside the bubble cuz its very loose and not form fitting a few cars had them and its very often missing. I believe starscream had one too.

Not surprised you aren't taking funkos anymore. I heard the company did an Atari ET and dumped a ton of excess stock. When the funko trend truly dies, toy federation are gonna be selling the boxed ones for a dollar each i bet.

I found the Game Chasers in my YT algo two years ago, never knew about em before. Same with TF channel, it popped in my feed one day. I became hooked when I found out the store was in area we just bought a house in SC (from upstate NY originally). It does seem to some crossover for a few toy and game youtubers, but there are prob some still who don’t know each other (especially since they don’t have as much time to watch all that content when they produce their own). Good stuff though.

That era of transformers was pretty bad to us G1 guys. I remember browsing the toy isles and always walking away like ‘damn, what is going on with transformers?’ The paint apps are so sloppy or don’t match , or the minicon faces were a mess.

I'd love to get my hands on all of the 2000s Transformers toys I missed. The Legacy and Studio Series toys are really good, but those Unicron Trilogy toys have so much playablility with the Mini-Cons, Powerlinking, and Cyber Key gimmicks. I wish the tie-in lines for the recent cartoons had the same balance of articulation and gimmicks as the UT toys did.

T2 trailer prime will be stamped 3 on all the parts. It’s very confusing. So many production runs in just a short time. Great to see more g1 transformers. Wish your store was closer. I’m in Oklahoma.
