ToyGaudi in Swizerland part 2 - TOY & DOLL HUNTING in brocki thrift stores + traveling with Barbie

Hey friends,
this is part 2 of my little series "ToyGaudi fun in Swizerland". I visited my friend ‪@vintagegaudi‬ in Swizerland and together we traveled through the country, hit up thrift stores (called "Brocki" over there), visited the amazing Barbie store "Think Pink" and went toy hunting at the biggest Swiss-German flea market.
Every week I will drop 1 or 2 episodes of this little series. :) Have fun.
I guess it will be around 8 videos all together.

OMG yes❣❣❣ The scenery in Swizerland is breathtaking 😍🌄🏞🏔🐄 I was a little sad when we left the mountains after 4 days already to get back to the flat landscapes 🥺 I'm so happy it really turned out to be Tahiti Barbie ☺❣ OMG those old Marvel Comics are weird 😂😂😂 Reading them is really odd. Nothing like the modern Marvel movies or modern comics (for a while I read some of the current runs). The storylines are so simple and unintentionally funny😂 These comics became the running gag on our trip🤣 We couldn't stop laughing. Mostly we read random panels out of context💯💥💫 Best guarantee for a laugh👌

Ohh mein Ballon ist geplatz 😂😂 das haben Ballons so an sich OMG how we laughed about the "Spinne" comic 😂 It is so amazing to see all of those things you bought in the video combined with the landscape 🌸💖🚐🎀🗻🏔️ And Diddle everywere 😂 And now you have finally your Tahiti Barbie found in Switzerland how amazing is that 😱🇨🇭🇨🇭⭐️🤩 And woow that this magic diper baby figure belongs to the more rare ones OMG found in the small town brocki 🤩 we almost missed it 😅☺️🎀 I cant wait for the next part of the brocki tour 🤩🎀🌸🇨🇭 Ah and yes "mein Schädel brummt" 😂 aka Die Spinne 🤣

@@LauSkypainter 🤣🤣😂 yes Sumpfi and I mixed it once with Schlumpfi or so 🤣 Sumpfi and the one Pokemon (forgot the name) are living in the black lake together 😂😂 OMG this comic is legend 😂😂 Yes I love that like a timelaps memory🎀💖🌸 maybe in a year we watch it again and see what we have all found and the landscape and all the adventure☺️💖 Thank you for everything ☺️🌸

The bunny on the bedsheet is Cathy. A hello kitty character first released in 1974. There is an ongoing debate whether is was based on the Miffy character which was created in 1955.

Hello Lau! Looks like you had a wonderful time in beautiful Switzerland! I would of freaked out being so close to those amazing cows (cows are some of my favourite animals). The scenery was just incredible. Once again, you found some great treasures. Thank you for sharing with us. 🥰

Heyho❤ honestly Selinas father (who we met one day) warned us of the cows. They had little calfs at that point so they were nervous and if they felt harassed they would attack people 😅 So my joy about being close to the cows was a little less than I expected. I also love cows 🐄🐂💗💗💗 Thank youuuu❤❤❤

Those Swiss shops are great! Here in the UK we really only have charity shops and vintage toys that are donated seem to get sold online rather than put out in the shops. Apart from going to specialist retro shops, which have high prices, the only other source is car boot sales, but you need to get there at 6am as people swarm the sellers before they've barely unpacked their car!

Of course the brockis are also hit or miss😅 we also went into many where we didn't find anything or I did not film. And yes, Swizerland has also flea markets (what you call car boot sales) and it is key to be there early. I have to be super early to my flea markets in Berlin as well. First come first serve.🤷🏼‍♀️ And of course the bulk of vintage toys gets sold online also in Swizerland, also in Germany for high prices. I think it's the same everwhere in the world 😂🌐

Yes, I think that was when we were at flea markets together in Berlin. You found it Rathaus Schöneberg if I remember correctly and it was a joke for Mara. But what are they? Why all these veggie plush toys 🤣🤣🤣?

The Tokidoki bag is a great find. It’s one of the first cooperations and I love the style for a sports / gym bag! It’s washable and I bet you‘ll enjoy it in the future!

Interesting to know it was one of the first cooperations 👍 Yes, it already was a life savor when I traveled back with all the toys and dolls I bought 🤭 It's also a great weekender for a short trip. And I love the colorful and vibrant look 😍💚

I love your videos, beautiful scenery in Switzerland. Hope you had a lovely time with your friend. Loving the thrift store finds and excited to see what more toys you get in your next video. Ooooh, interesting❣ Never heard of the Furby board game. I looked it up now but I can't find this color scheme with the board game pieces and mine seems to have a different mold. The ears look different.🤔

@@LauSkypainter oh my gosh good eye sorry for the misinformation I really thought he was from that since it had the whole it would fit on the game but you are absolutely right even the ear placement is different. I kept looking and all I can find is on reddit someone said there were keychains (does he have a tiny hole near the top/center of head where a key ring could go?) and another on there said they found them on furby wiki that they were just little figures but no distinct details unfortunately :( cool find regardless it's super cute and tiny!!

Solche kleinen Gebrauchtläden findet man in Berlin manchmal als Trödelkeller in Kirchengemeinden oder bei der AWO. Bei uns gab es bis zu dem Brand in Lichterfelde kürzlich noch den Rumpelbasar. Leider musste der schließen.

Ich gehe auch manchmal in so Läden rein, die Entrümplungsunternehmen sind und ich kenne auch ein Gebrauchtwarenkaufhaus in Berlin und ein paar Kinder 2nd Hand Shops aber so richtig hat mich hier noch kein Laden überzeugt. 😬 Und auch keiner in meiner Nähe so richtig.

Als wir im Februar 1994 in Eurodisney waren war es noch der alte Name. Ich glaube das wurde im Herbst geändert.

5:25: Das Service ist aber chinesisch auch wenn es vielleicht so aussieht (warum?). Das war mal sehr modern (60er?) und ist oft auf dem Trödel zu finden. Die guten Exemplare von Tassen (meine Oma hatte welche) sind so transparent, dass man durch den Boden schauen kann und dann eine Art Wasserzeichen erkennt.

Damit kenne ich mich echt nicht aus 😂😂😂 Weiß nicht mehr, was der Unterhaltung da zuvor gekommen ist. Die Figur soll jedenfalls eine japanische Geisha darstellen und ich glaub wir haben irgendwie über japanisch vs. chinesischen Stil geredet und meinte zu ihr, dass die Geisha nicht chinesisch ist.🤷🏼‍♀️ Ist etwas aus dem Zusammenhang gegriffen. Kann mich nicht richtig erinnern.

Kleiner Tipp für das nächste Mal (habe ich von meinem Vater in Super-8 Zeiten gelernt): Die Landschaftsschwenks bewusst langsam machen. Das ist angenehmer anzusehen und man kann die schöne Landschaft in Ruhe genießen. Ich dachte schon ihr wärt im Regen weggeschwommen dem Wetterbericht nach zu urteilen.
