In this video, I overhaul the AB60F valvebody, showing checkball locations(locations may vary). At the end of the video I aircheck the transmission and give a tip on the solenoids. Off to work today, shop is packed, thanks for watching.

Hi Gary, I have a 2011 Tundra 5.7 4x4. I took the upper valve body #2 apart & thought I'd taken a picture of the checkballs :( Searched online for locations but found different numbers of balls in these. Mine had 7 like yours but some diagrams show 8 in the same trans so I thought I lost one. I searched but didn't find the eighth so I'm assuming I only had 7. I'm buttoning it up & hopefully all will be good. Thanks for your video.

Hi garry i just want to ask if do you have any ideas what causes of harsh shifting of AB60F 6speed auto transmission. Is that related of the valve body? Appreciate any help thanks

@@GaryFerraro no any fault code, this happens when I was recovering 3 car’s been bogged at the beach.

I saw a strip down and re-assembly, but no overhaul. Only tip was to be careful with the solenoid. Could do with better close-up videos of some of the parts, as not much was visible.

hello sir! could you please tell whats the casting# was for this AB60F valvebody? I have the same type, but there's at least two casting numbers 8870 and 89010... Not sure which one you have one the video, please advise!

Hello Gary Do you ever came a cross a problem with a 2007 dodge Dakota the transmission is rebuilt but it has a delay going into four gear I revés around 3500 rpms before it shifts in to four gear no codes And it doesn’t slip any ideas? Thank you in advance

What is the engine size? If it revs up during the 3-4 shift it's flaring on the shift, this is usually internal problem with a clutch pack

@@aviator1683 ok, Look under transmission data, find C.V.I data you will see each of the clutch packs represented by a number, would like to know what the numbers are

Hey Gary i have a 4L60E transmission, can you please tell how much clearance there should be between the tail shaft bushing and the front drive shaft slip yoke.I have what seems like i lot of clearance on mine.I am having a vibration problem on my S-10 truck it has the 2 piece driveshaft,i have checked everything else on the driveshaft.Have you ever run into a vibration were the tail shaft bushing was worn causing a vibration.

Not really, is the drive shaft phased correctly? assuming u-joints are ok? Is there trans fluid leaking from the tail seal on the trans?

@@GaryFerraro Yes Gary the driveshaft is phased correctly and the u-joints are new.There is a little trans fluid leaking from the trans seal.
