Toyota Aqua Driving in B gear on local roads in URDU

Күн бұрынThe "B" creates something called "engine braking," which mimics the behavior of a traditional transmission: It fakes a downshift to slow the Prius if it's descending a hill. Why? To keep the brakes from being overloaded if you're on a long, steep grade.

This gear helped me alot in coming back from Islamabad for around 4 to 5 Kilometre. There is a patch on motorway where you need to come downhill. Excellent feature by Toyota !

This can be smartly used to charge battery quickly and save brake pads. It would only kill some average when used without care. On prius 2016 upto 10kph speed gear B=D i.e. Same feeling, no engine braking.

Same observation, but 1 more thing do we need to stop for gear shifting or we can shift while driving the car ?

B gear Improves response time in messy traffic, offer more control in close traffic

I havent tested it but it should give you good control in rush traffic as it will save braking

Sir i have a question for u that What is the difference Between driving a hybrid car in city and highway in terms of fuel Average? Is it safe to go on a long journey in a hybrid car?

It has regenerative braking so i guess u won't have to use B as u won't be using brakes that often even downhill u will be braking using the electric motor if u control and time the brake pedal

You can have it balanced if the voltages are not the same.

I have read on different forums that only LiquoMoli and Asmoil shud be used as Engine oil. Im using shell ultra 0 20. Which do you recommend? Your opinion matters the most. 🙂

They are right if you can afford go for those brands but if you want to save some money then get other brands

I found Zic to be very good for average. I am not promoting it but I found it very good for a decent average. I was getting around 18 to 24 easily with Zic but average depends on a lot of variables. You cannot single out that only oil is causing low average.

There is no gear change in ECVT transmission you can go fast but it will start braking as soon as you let go of the pedal
