Changing the engine coolant and Inverter coolant of Toyota Auris. NOTE both take the same coolant.

I bleeded coolant and I filled the new coolant, and as you say I started the engine in maintenance mode, the engine worked more than 40 minutes but the radiator s fan didn't work.. And on indicater board, the temperature 60%... I am living in Switzerland... It can be because of weather... Or something else.. 😊

It is because of the cold weather OR problem with your radiator fan. I would say connect it the TechStream software to see any error codes Or give another try

Good luck with that, sir! Hope your coolant pump and hoses will survive. The manufacturers say "lifetime" coolant, the same with transmission oil, so sometimes the car just has to die peacefully and make you buy another one XD

The coolant cost about £20 and takes about 45mins to do. There is no reason not to do it.

toyota coolant contains phosphate and generic European coolant do not contain phosphate. We can either buy it directly from Toyota or we can also use Aisin coolant but the color is different. The interval is 5 years.

It just depends what suits you. But it has to meet the manufacturer requirements not necessarily has to be from the manufacturer production

@@DiyMechanics Yes, as long as we do not add incompatible products that can cause gelling or rust, or deposit. Generally, we always have a generic super long life (usually yellow) without silicate and can be used although not the best fit.
