Fun fact: Because of Euro 7, Mazda has detuned their NA 2.5L 4-cylinder to 138 hp to replace an NA 2.0L 4-cylinder which made 120 or 148 hp in the Mazda3 and CX-30. It's rated for 40 MPG on WLTP in a FWD manual Mazda3, while the 2.0L was rated for 47 MPG in the same car. 138 hp are made at 5k RPM and not 6k that the 2.0L needs for the 148 hp and it has 176 lb-ft instead of 157 lb-ft. Worse fuel consumption, but more power and displacement with cleaner exhaust, yay! All cars are getting detuned now because of Euro 7. I don't want to imagine how bad it would have been with the original stringent proposal.

Brands that respect enthusiasts like Ford win hands down. They still have a V8 with emissions developments in the pipeline while Dodge and RAM killed the V8 like it was nothing. Stellantis is the worst automotive company there is. Dealer techs say how ordering parts and warranty work is a nightmare and they are also the most customer-hostile car company.

The 3.0L has power I usually can’t use on good roads, but you REALLY feel and appreciate the 2.0L’s 200lb lighter front end when you’re driving hard. Shame to see it go. i would buy a new 2.0L Z4 if they didnt ask such a high price for the car.

Hi Matt I'm glad you brought up the Chevron deference decision something to keep in mind is this decision does not affect all previously made rules by these executive agencies they will stay in effect however, any rules going forward will have to be decided by Congress which is a very good thing as the agencies that originally made these rules now have to route their plan for all future decsions through the proper goverment channels. Yes decisions will be made slower and no I don't expect Congress to be an expert on the subjects but with the guidance of these executive agencies (good or bad) and pressure from their constituents at least the proper elected authorities in government will have to approve these decisions whereas before the agencies were essentially able to circumvent the legislative branch without any reprocussions which is bad for all of us regardless of anyones political view. To your credit yes all previous decisions now may come under legal scrutiny by a variety of plaintiffs depending on the subject or executive agency. Those decisions will have to be made by judges agreed 💯 percent. Overall to conclude this decision will do more good than bad for not only accountability but also personal freedom and liberties which time and time again these executive agencies have violated without any repercussions Plus like you said maybe a chance for large displacement V8 engines to make it come back probably not but we could dream.

@vincesettineri 3 күн бұрын
@@MattMaranMotoring Hi Matt thanks for replying to my comment keep up the great videos, regarding Chevron deference My thought is if I elected you to make the decisions on laws then I wouldn't want the fashion agency making those decisions without your approval because your the boss for lawmaking and I elected you. I do agree that Congress are not experts You're 100% correct however they are the lawmakers not the agencies. When Congress makes a decision we don't support we can attempt to vote them out (doesn't always work but I do support term limits that would help). When the agencies make decisions that the populace doesn't like The only thing we can do is sue them which has helped a lot over the past year with many of the recent rules that were released however it takes a really long time and is extraordinarily expensive. Getting rid of Chevron defference gives us more of a say and respects the the separation of powers in the constitution more than having the agencies directly release rules that have the penalty of law. Well then you consider is Chevron difference was initially intended just to interpret the law to make it easier for everyday people to understand not to actually release a rule that has the penalty of law. Overall I think this is a really good thing and while not perfect Congress will listen to the people more than the agencies will and if the agencies do their job and brief Congress appropriately on the topics at they want to change then I think overall Congress should have the information needed to make appropriate decision at least in a perfect world I know it doesn't always work out that way. Thanks for the respectful conversation
