No matter how good endeavour is, Fortuner has gained a huge name

It is my dream car in future

i'm indonesian and already upgrading to this latest 2016 fortuner since february, replacing my old 2009 fortuner (2.5 diesel). here several points that i can mention to you : (+) improvement : - design (but this really depends on the personal taste, beauty is in the eye of the beholder) but for me the rear and side of this latest fortuner are really georgeous... -much better refinement (NVH overall much better, the interior is now whisper-quite compared to previous gen rugged,harsh and noisy fortuner interior. The engine when idle is also very silent from interior it's even hard to tell that it's a diesel from inside when idle.. different story when you pushed it hard from the stop, cruising in the highway at 100-140km/h is relaxing and quite though ) -better ride comfort (still not as plush as a Camry or even a Prado) but to me, overall it feels like the new fortuner has 40% softer ride than previous car (no more bone-jarring at low speed) yet it still felt very stable at 180km/h speed just like its predecessor -much better interior (more plush/luxury feel) the seats are now much much much better cushioned and has better support too.. feels like a bargain land-cruiser...kudo to toyota for the interior job.. since they also adding real leather ornaments onto several parts of the interior (particulary the dashboard and center console) - better "gimmick". Now the new Fortuner has some "fancy-toys" like a luxury suv... such as power back door, alphard-like speedometer and MID cluster design, all-Led interior lights, cooler box for drinks, digital rear ac, welcome-light under doors mirros,etc. (-) drawback : - engine power (while the 2.4 new diesel offers 150hp, 400Nm figure compared to the previous gen's 2.5 diesel 144 hp, 350nm) but the increased extra power doesnt felt really noticeable since the new fortuner is also significantly bigger and heavier than its predecessor, eventhough never felt underpowered or lack of power in most situation ... - significantly more expensive.. (maybe due to the extra gimmick, better NVH, etc) and now is the worst drawback compared to the previous gen fortuner! - LACK OF CABIN SPACE! due to more comfortable,bolder cushioned & bigger seats, now the interior space is never felt as vast or spacious as my old foruner.. and what makes it even worse is the fact that now the interior is offered in black-only color which makes you feel even more cramped inside (it used to be offered in beige color which makes the interior felt airy and more spacious)... and now the 3rd no longer comfortable for adults more than 165cm height.. (i really remember the previous gen fortuner 3rd row is spacious enough to fit 173-175cm adults)

I am seriously reconsidering getting the 4runner. I love this

I just bought the 2018 verison of the Fortuner..pretty cool but I dont like the seats, the very back seats that fold up

excellent car, Model, look drive nice, Dream car , with all new features.

No matter however it is, it will continue to sell more than the Ford Endeavour!

Fortuner is better than endeavour in the long run, just can't wait for this car to launch in india!

Ford Endeavour seems to be a much better choice as the 2200cc version of the endeavour seems a much spirited car than the fortuner .However Toyota has legendary reliability which Ford can never match .

Would be good to have a head-to-head between the new Fortuner & Endeavor! Its out there is all foreign channels, please have it done for Indian versions as well!

Endeavour must be good in terms of features but fortuned is hard core suv

I think, Toyota should reconsider their policy of only offering the 2,8 liter engine in the 4WD model. Several motoring journalists have already complained, that the 2,4 liter feel a bit sluggish when mated to the automatic gearbox. The 2,8 liter engine would likely solve that problem and bring the power for the 2WD models in line with competitors like the Pajero Sport.

fortuner is a beautyl..

while people buy the fortuner mostly for its rugged & built looks, I don't think it has enough going in terms of performance & power to justify its higher 5-6 lakhs price point over the Innova.

Ford Endeavour seems more promising - Better interiors - Easy fold power seats third row - More power - All terrain modes - Wider power band - Better vehicle dynamics, especially around corners But a head to head will settle the battle On the other hand, no wonder this will more based on the trend it has set in the market :)

How is the Fortuner 2.8 4x2 MT? It does not even have ESP and Brake assist. Also I want to know wether the 4X2 Manual Diesel Fortuner has ATRAC, i.e. Active Traction control? My dream car. So great car

Toyota Fortuner's design is old school and so is it's engine. It is built on a pickup truck platform, heavier and takes it's own time to move. However the new age SUV like Hyundai Santa Fe is much more premium, stylish and with a refined diesel engine of 2.2-litre produce about 190 bhp of power. Whereas Fortuner with an age old 3.0-litre engine produces only 168 bhp. Fortuner is heavier at low speeds and makes it difficult to drive in city and on the highway, whereas the driving dynamics of the Sante Fe is sharper and quicker. The interiors of Fortuner is cheap as well. The New Ford Endeavor is far more better than the Fortuner too.

Frankly saying New Pajero Sport is much better than this. Autocar must compare these two!
