The only problem I have with it as of now is the fake vents and perhaps how they intend for us to put us plates on the front. Both of these can most likely get fixed as this car will definitely have a lot of aftermarket support. Maybe some proper aero and a custom spoiler for the back will be added.

This is what everyone in the world expected the Supra to be. And instead we got a watered down BMW Z4 lol 😂 The new Supra should have been the celica and the FT1 the new Supra. Everything about the FT1 was perfect 👌 there was so much soul in it. This car was worthy of the name Supra.

The Celica has a very rich heritage in WRC and Hillclimb. It wouldn't be fitting putting the Celica badge on that BMWazda MX-86-BRZ Monstrosity Toyota calls the new Supra.

Yondoodle really because the car has been offered in the same layout since it’s inception starting with the first gen. Yes there was a few rally cars. But the car has always been front engine rear wheel drive. The very reason we have a Supra is because of the celica.

If I'm not mistaken, most people complained about the Ft-1 taking on the name of supra. It's almost like the idea Toyota had was to create an affordable LF-A. Which is not saying much since the lfa started at 400k. Supra fans were worried of not being able to afford it basically. Props to Toyota because they listened to their supra fans so In simplistic terms you can view the current supra as Toyota's answer to an affordable version of the FT-1. Now this is where I personally and currently stand, the FT-1 styling was instantly iconic on it's own and had made it's own identity with in the short period it was unveiled. I'm disappointed, not because it isn't the new the supra, but because the FT-1 never made production. As iconic the supra is, there was and is nothing supra about the FT-1 and I liked it.

Wow! What a flowing design as there’s no sharp edges and that make the total design. The rear window is so perfect in design. But to me the mirror is what makes the statement that says “FT-1” has arrived. Thanks jay and the designers also for letting us view this gorgeous piece of art.

My daughter just sent me a picture of one on display in Paris and it is was a rich brown color and I thought it was a lamborghini or something more expensive! then I noticed the Toyota emblem on the car and researched it , what an awesome looking car!

I wonder what's in the engine bay. Judging from the length of the hood, it looks like a straight 6. Or at least, i hope it is. Twin turbo inline 6. Man, that would be amazing. And this FT-1 stands out amongst all other cars' designs. It looks phenomenal and strays away from the generic designs we've seen since the late 2000s to today. It's very, very beautiful. Too bad there was no test drive... At least if they started it up so we could hear the exhaust. Come on!

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best looking modern Japanese car, period. The proportions are spot-on. I love the British-esque long hood, short and sloped rear end, sports car look. Toyota, please build this! Even if I can't afford it, it would enrich my day if I just saw one! Don't change ANYTHING that doesn't need to be changed. This is the Toyota we've been waiting for.

This is where it all really comes down to. This car would definitely be in the 150-200 thousand dollar range, which would make it unobtainable by many people including myself. I have the 3.0 Supra GR and honestly it doesn't look that bad in person, but this concept car is just so much more beautiful

Well the design theory is the same but the new one is compromised by sharing a chassis with the BMW. What a joke. I still mostly like the look of the new one but it's more of a GT86 than a Supra. The Supra should be a car that frightens supercars for half the price.

I agree but it could be easy to keep this frame with whatever engine they want to put inside... Cause this one reminds me more for a Supra than the real one

@@thanasiss.l.t7149 it's not just a BMW engine, almost every component is BMW too. So it was BMW who decided the length and proportions etc.

i know right... so is it a dangerous car to get into or is it flimsy? when i first saw the front of the car i thought Enzo as well. I think Nissan Skyline GTR has nothing to worry about!

This is a concept design so they didn't build it using the same strong materials they would when they put it in production.

Yeah, that statement was funny. I had the same feeling as others that picked up on it. Nevertheless, the car looks fantastic. It has been over 2 years and the car still did not hit the dealers.
