Lol. Don't forget it's not good for climbing mountains but for travelling around the country with occasional off-road it's ok

Also if you can't get a Hiace 4wd the Mitsubishi Delica is a great alternative. Might be cheaper

Does it have traction control and do they grip well in the wet. Thinking of buying one! Thanks

Hi Eric. Im not sure about traction control. It may be in the system but there's no extra switchs to turn off or on. But I've had no handling problems. It's an 2008 model so pretty early. Later models may be different. Lately we did a trip to the Glowworm tunnel out near Lithgow. The road all the way was extremely muddy. One of my mates ran off the road in an Amarok, lost traction and it's constant 4wd. My van had no problems at all all the whole trip.

Did you puchase the Diff Lock yourself or was it already installed?

I bought it and had it installed through opposite lock. Apparently it's a hilux diff so can probably get it from and 4wd fitter.

Nice! how much clearance does it have? And what suspension?

Not enough clearance lol. But raised it by 2inches. Wound up front torsion bars and added a leaf to rear with Pedders shocks. Going to put another leaf on the rear though soon.

Thanks. Yes it's a 2.7 but only a 4speed auto. 6 speed would be much better

Awesome. I just imported a grand cabin 4wd with same motor and box. Is that a winch up front ? Seems like good idea with no low range

is it full time AWD or has 4WD has to be activated ?

The AWD is always on. You can't switch it off as far as I know

Yes of course. But luckily got out each time on my own. Not that I go offroad a lot. I bought the van to tour around Australia not for mountain climbing. For that its a great vehicle. But still have some mods to do.
