Why 5w40 if he need 5w30?

The manufacturer says you can use anything from 5w30 to 15w40. It depends from the climate, mileage etc etc. This car does not have DPF, its used in a moderate climate, but only on the hills, high revs and towing, so in this situation 5w40 was a good choice.
