Tuners soon fell in love with the tight chassis, potent engines, and practicality of the JZX chassis. The JZX's rear wheel drive layout also made it one of Japan's most popular drift platforms. Australia has the best street drifter cars built for family trips the commodore was given a solid rear axles as did the Falcon these cars both gave enormous opportunity to drive the car through rear angle skidding control with hard acceleration bursts made a cautious driver into a huge smiling “ hoon” very quickly

Most commodores aren't solid rear axle, and AU onwards for the falcons. Japan definitely has Australia covered in terms of variety of fun family sedans.
