Towing on highway isn't that great as it can't maintain speed when the gradient increases. Off-road towing is perfectly fine however.

We were filming some quick pieces between the agency who we were assisting present for over 4 days with 4 different grades, and were filming in a closed off park with the black and white plates, and when heading out on the road for some running shots had the registered plates and extension mirrors back on! Hi John, thanks for tuning in, though to clear things up & avoid any unnecessary concern for you, people reading the above comment & possible damage to reputation with an assumption of a 21ft van being used with questioning of legality, this was filmed in 2017, & with the custom building back then, a 17ft int' (18'6 body) narrowed to 7ft wide was built, with a registered tare of 2535kgs over the calibrated scales at the factory on this particular van for the purpose of the tow test. In more recent years, the TopEnder® is now standard at 7ft'6 wide, in the longer & more optioned spec like you outlined, suiting larger capacity tow vehicles like the US pick ups, with production of a Kedron® 'Compact' with 3t ATM to suit the Prado these days. As a 59 year family business, value greatly the integrity for assisting owners with suitable builds to enjoy their travels, & hope you appreciate the reply. Should maybe thank for raising & being able to post an explanation, as if you could assume this by quickly looking at things, others could also. Thanks again, all the best & safe travels!
