Oh, by the way, Im missing the original quantum hooter (stolen,been replaced with one from a scooter). And the alarm has been disabled because J&M could not bypass or flush the Vehicle Security System after they added another defective alternator. My advise is ask someone who has done a conversion before you commit funds into the project because the market is riddled with dishonest characters who at best will rip you off without flinching. Peace.

This conversion was not a complete success because we realized a number of things were not done or done poorly : 1.The power steering pump is leaking, and onto the alternator which is located below the pump. I contacted J&M and they could not assist, though they supplied the engine. 2.The prop shaft was not aligned after modding, it still has to be balanced (which is supposed to have been part of the conversion, else how do you deliver a defective vehicle to the customer.?) 3. All 8 spark plugs were never changed (they came with the engine or picked from a salvage yard). 4.All coils have to be replaced, one is already dead. 5. There is no indicator that coolant has been used, i suspect plain water was used.... Im yet to flush the cooling system and the top it up with coolant. If you are thinking of using these guys for your conversion, think again.

Never consider J@M Lexus V8 conversions for any service or engine conversion. I have a camper, for which they have converted the original L300 engine with a V8 Lexus 1UX FE engine. I have to completely re-do the conversion at a different place because of the backyard mechanic quality that of workmenship that I have recieved from J@M Lexus V8 conversions. Typical faults are : 1) They used the wrong fuel management system for the camper, and installed a racing management system that would increase gearbox replacements. 2) They could not make a new speed cable work. 3) They connected the brake booster pipes at the wrong position affecting the fuel management system every time you brake resulting in higher fuel consumption. 4) They failed to fabricate a proper fan pulley bracket the first time and had to try again. 5) They installed the engine and gearbox skew to miss the main petrol tank, which will result in premature lifespan of gearbox and propshaft bearings. 6) They installed the new engine so that it is impossible to check ones oil with the dipstick. 7) They installed the engine without a proper maintainable position for the air filter. The air filter being used is also not the right type. 8) They installed the gearbox cooling radiator at the wrong place, which carries a risk of overheating of the gearbox. 9) They did not remove the old engine cables and piping and the new cabling is not terminated properly. They just used isolation tape. 10) The engine is installed with very little clearance between ground and sump which is important for typical camper roads. 11) They installed an altenator with a bended pulley, resulting in pre-mature lifespan of the belt. 12) The camper water pressure pipe burned off because it laid on the new exhaust they had installed. 13) The extra tank that they installed can hardly be filled with petrol because of poor design. 14) Electrical cables are cooked because it wasn't properly located lying on the new exhaust that they have installed, giving me no electrics for lights, flikker etc. 15) Etc,etc,etc I can advise you on people that can do the job properly for a fraction of the cost.

This conversion was a complete failure , and by April 2019 I had already gone elsewhere and did a different conversion on the same vehicle to a 6 speed 3UZ. The initial 1UZ nonVVTI was re-wired by Mark Watson then removed was and im putting a Garret turbo onto it and its then going into a Lexus is300 car that im buying somewhere.
