Some great and inspirational mods you have done to your Sienna! I enjoyed watching your camping adventure sites too! Keep posting more of your adventures and van camper tips as well! Thank you for sharing your info and videos!

I am so excited to do this. I'm also going to add a 12" top to mine from Fiberine, so I can put my bed up higher and put some storage underneath it. Will give me more inside storage. Where I live, a roof storage unit would get broken into. You've given me so many awesome ideas - including the Blue Ridge attic, etc. Thanks so much for making these videos.

This is destiny. Last night looking into buying a Sienna AWD limited 2008 from a buddy and selling my fancy 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport. As a woodworker I should've bought a van in the first place. I feel like if most truck owners are honest with themselves about how they use their trucks, they'd buy and build something like this. I also am keeping my 1991 Pickup for truck stuff. Thanks for posting! Are those tires noisy on the freeway? And yeah, getting into hairy offroad situations without a built rig that you're ready to break and throw money at seems like a whole other level than what people actually do with their "overland" rigs. Keep it real! And practical!

Wow, just saw your Van. I absolutely love what you did with it... the lift is super.. what's your thoughts on a 2 1/2 in. lift I'm saving to do the same thing...how has the Sienna been for you... also looking for about the same year, any year you would of rather got? Thanks for the inspiration...oh, what would be your mileage limit be on those years...thanks a million, hoping to be there in about 9 more months.

I did the JOR lift but the Traxda one looks cool as well. Just make sure to swap CV axles and check out any wear on the bushings while your doing it. Good luck!

Hey man, how's that swing out Lolo treating you? Is it pretty easy to swing out with 4 bikes on it? I love that you can throw on the rotopax too. That's pretty clutch have a couple gallons of fuel just in case.

The Lolo rack is the best! The swingout is a prototype. Production models are close.

Awesome van! I'm curious; with no under-bed storage, what do you do with all of your stuff while two are sleeping in the van?
@BrokenandCoastal2 жыл бұрын
I need to make a video on just this. So for example we just got back from a month long trip from PDX to Southern California to Sedona. My wife had a suitcase and backpack. I had a duffel bag with bike gear and two large backpacks. We Airbnb it 75% of those 30 days so being able to take our gear in and out of the van was essential. When we camp my wife luggage goes in the passenger seat and mine goes to the left of our fridge. I never shoot any videos or photos of it because it doesn't look pretty. It's organize but looks messy in my opinion. It's one of the reasons I am planning on a larger van for Spring 2022. I find the Sienna is the perfect veichle for one person but for two it gets cramped really fast! I'll make a video on our system at some point.

How about any issues you've had with the lift?
@BrokenandCoastal2 жыл бұрын
I installed the lift with about 130k. JOR recommends anything after 100k you replace the CVs. I did not replace them and drove about another 10-15k until I started to get some shakes. I eventually changed the CVs and it fixed the issue. My mechanic said that the axles pretty much crumbled when they came out. Other than that the lift has been amazing. I'd do it again in a heart beat. With that said going into it like any lift there may be problems. So it all depends on the state of your Sienna.
@girthybrowns4489 Жыл бұрын
@@BrokenandCoastal Are they aftermarket CVs or OEMs? Mike at JOR told me none of the aftermarket ones are a good idea, but also that the OEMs are near-impossible to find right now.
