Much awaited review!! Thank you for this. I had a question though. In your altis 1.6 review, you mentioned that the altis was a much better option than city aspire (last generation). Does it still hold true or is city aspire a much better option now (considering its a comparatively newer generation and has a price difference with altis of approximately 8-9 lacs)?

Sold my alsvin Lumiere and got yaris 1.5 few months back. Worst decision of my life. Alsvin's build quality, fuel average, sound insulation and driving pleasure was much better. Talking about plastic quality, i dont think yaris is superior even. Only plus points in yaris are HSA, suspension is better and rugged, and, space is a little better.

I have kept both yaris and city . Consumption goes to yaris. Inner insulation goes to yaris. Front wind screen sound absorbing ability goes to yaris. Traction control and hill assist goes to yaris . As far as looks the award goes to city . My preference choice never go for disposable Chinese products. Yaris is present generation and city is decade old. I will opt for Yaris then city no option for Alsvin.

I own Proton Saga Ace. Although the group sucks and has failed this brand for the worse. I don't have any idea why I'm keeping this car, maybe because of its handling and satisfactory fuel avg. Phr bhi should have included the cheapest sedan. I'll bring mine. And you can definitely make a video on how alhaaj group failed Proton in PK. It had such potential. 😢

City -Ground clearance 172mm -4441mm length -1498mm height -4 speakers -9in screen -No padding only elbow pinching plastic -Cruise from factory. -Nice centre armrest. - impressive fake leather interior -impressive dash maybe used from vezel and fit. -Visible blunders in manufacturing, cant even fit lights - without space as if you're getting a car from a local warrakshaap -Cheap tires width that you should fit in a WagonR -Roomy interior space -Rear Ac. Whatever if you like city, but at least be honest in revealing both cars features. Of course both cars has it's pros and cons, but atleast acknowledge them. Don't set bad standards as we always have. This is exactly why we don't get features in local cars because next time some brand launches a new model they'll be glad to give you a Chenaa ki 12 inch screen, rear Ac jaali and give you a chankana of a dhaancha with no safety features. All these features were the reason we bought Yaris ATIV X. The remaining concern of some people that the car has no grip lol (as if it's a city with just abs as an ehsaan) we fitted Conti CC6 195-60-R15. It was the best drive I couldn't get in any other local car (maybe I missed driving some car that is better than this) not Grande, nor Civic X, not MG, Not HS HEV nor even Sportage. Of course I'm not talking about power figures I'm talking about the way this car maneuvers on Karakoram highway, Keran sharda Kel. It's an outstanding car in a small package of course, not for those who need to fit family of 6 7. But a car for a family of 4. The way this car was hugging the road even on 190+ kms. City lovers will know safety features worth khuda na khoasta when they'll be 150+ on WagonR wheels and Allah na kare some dog comes on road and they have to make an emergency slalom or maneuvering. Tab Allah he yaad aega.

new city 1.5 manual has very short gear ratios. Rpms exceed 3k even in 5th gear at 100 kmph speed

Owned a GM6 City Aspire 1.5 for 2 years and 30.000 km: Pros: -Styling is subjective but trust me, next to a an Alsivin irl, this looks much better, especially from the back. -The quickest B segment sedan with a 0-100 of 10 secs dead (this very channel has that 0-100) -Gives 14-15 kml within city easily once you get used to the cvt -Very good rear legroom, better than Elantra even -Cruise Control -Rear AC vents -Comes with a remote for the infotainment system, making it a better car for chauffer use -MUCH better sound system, with optional 4 tweeters in aspire (giving it total of 8), but main reason is the EQ settings in the infotainment system which play the most pivotal role. (But don't get me wrong, the Harman in a Haval is still much better refined) -infotainment system is good for an android (but unreliable and still, it is after all an android hence not synced with the rest of the car). -Actual DRL's, which make the car much more visible in daylight Cons: -Raised ride height, but is useless as the shield underneath is very low -Light steering gives no feedback nor confidence at high speeds -Suspension is very stiff, but to no benefit on handling. (Still, not much noticeable to a normal, non-car enthusiast). - Engine drone is loud at high rpm -Poor insulation of noise: -You can hear rain sloshing about in the rear tire walls if you sit in the back (but not noticeable for a normal person). -Horn sounds like it's inside the cabin, and is annoying to use. (Despite Honda holding meetings for a supposed resolution, but to no avail.) -Average, "Big 3" level of noise insulation. -Poor tire quality, high levels of road noise. -Horribly unreliable infotainment system, boot-loops, and has been reset twice under warranty. -Horrible quality control - Horrible panel gaps -My car has a bit of paint on the passenger windows -Poor front passenger legroom owing to having the same dashboard as Fit, and the Fuel Tank being in the middle. -BAD tires, car can slip because of these and obviously no VSA. -Rear AC vents don't have a blower, so not much useful on low fan speeds. Would I chose City over the other two? Absolutely. Would I upgrade to a used C segment other than Civic X? Absolutely.
