Hello, I have the same question. I too just bought a RAV4, 2013 Limited AWD, Technology pack. It has an auto dimming rear view mirror but no compass. Any idea whether we can buy the one with compass and replace the existing one without compass?

Love mine that came with the 2012 Highlander Limited, so many other standard features with the vehicle make it a high value purchase....and no I am not a spokesman for Toyota, just a satisfied customer FYI.

My 2014 4Runner appears to be the same. So is it just one light on the left side indicating on or off? What is the square on the right side of the power button, is it a sensor?

I have a 2022 Tacoma SR5 with this auto darkening mirror. On or Off it doesn’t change. Indicator light on or off it doesn’t change, the auto lights are TOO bright! How can I get it to go darker HELP

2019 highlander limited AWD plt does not has the rear view mirror with compass on it. It is bad with a $47000 SUV

My auto-dimming rear vie mirror seems to be set to permanent dim. Ho can I override this? I ant this feature OFF. I ill dim it hen I ant it dim. I'm having difficulty seeing in the rear vie mirror since it is on perpetual dim!

anyone know why mine only has a "C" in the square where the direction is usually? its worked fine for last 3 years on my 1999 4runner.

The "C" stands for calibration needed.

1) If the compass display reads “C” the compass feature must be calibrated. a) To calibrate the compass, drive the vehicle in up to 3 complete circles at less than 5mph.

It has lights on both sides of the auto turn-on button. Why does only one turn on? What is the other one for? I’m talking about the green light that turns on when you press the auto button. Only one side turns on. Is the other one suppose to turn green too?

It has a light only on one side, which is green when on. The other side, in my opinion, is the sensor.

The other one is for notification when you pair a garage door opener.

South East, South West, North East ,etc Fur example SE is between 90 degrees (e) and 180 degrees (S) on a compass rose

My 2019 Toyota CHR had the auto dim rearview mirror now the 2020 Toyota CHR does not have the auto dim mirror it's a lot cheaper so pissed

I can't stand that I have to turn it off everytime I get in my car it's too darn dark and I can't see what is actually going on behind me I would love it if you could turn it off all of the time and use it when you want it.. It is the most annoying thing about my car
