I have a 2015 same color and model as yours and I've had it since Nov 2014 and the bezel just broke apart this week. However, the truck has been outside it's whole life in the Dallas Fort Worth area so its about time to replace it. Thanks for the video it helped out big time!!!

Did you buy that truck knew, they give you a little wrench it's usually in the glove box just specifically designed to take the antenna on and off. Nice to see you didn't have to go through the wheel well like other videos showed, I may try some olive oil however I'm not going to remove the antenna, I'm going to slide the rubber boot down over the antenna so I can pull up as I'm pushing the rubber boot into the quarter panel

I’m wondering if you know the trick to removing the base? My antenna broke off in the threaded socket and I can’t drill it to use an easy out. I’m hoping I can replace the female section. Thanks!

I have a Toyota 4Runner with the same issue. What is happening is the rollers in the car washes with them up and off because the soap makes them slippery

Has the hard start issue ever returned

No. Hard start never returned. I’m still unsure which of my actions truly resolved it. I have since replaced the knock sensor harness due to little rodents chewing on the wiring. I have a video on that, too. I sometimes wonder if that harness possibly played a role.

Although it seats well and looks installed, there is an extremely thin gap in the rubber which seals tight against the body. Almost impossible to seat accurately like in this video. Look CLOSELY to make sure it’s actually seated tight!
